Viking Smithy

Post by Hewkiril »

This is just a little smithy I built while fooling around with a few Viking figs. I hope you like it.

An overview of the whole thing.

A little fishing dock that also provides the needed water.

An axe in a stump.

A sledge for carrying wood.

And that's about all, I can provide more pics if you want them.

Nice but nothing spectacular, I wish you did some landscaping, even on this small place...
Tree pines works really good with Vikings, and I like the floating things in the water, it gives to it swampish look.

Looks like you were having some fun here ~ pretty neat creation... I wonder why you had one viking with a witch's (or black wizard's) hat on?

I like the little rock formation in the corner~

I like this. It has a nice woodsie/swampy feel to it. The axe in the tree stump is a very clever idea, the tan works perfectly for new-cut wood. I like the forge and the two anvils. The bellows is nice, but shouldn't it be closer to the forge? I like the pond, and the rock formation. Also, is that cheese on the plate? Good idea. The things I don't like are how close the fishing pole is to the fire, and the wizard hat. They just don't work for me.

Overall, very nice.

The setup is great but I would change the colors of a few things.

Pretty nice, I like the little mini-dock and the fisherman, but like The Dark Tide said, the colors need to be fixed up a little and I have one question- Why are there two anvils? Besides that it looks nice.

ottoatm- I just wanted to add a bit of variety, same with the upsidedown horns on the fisherman.

wuntzwice-Thanks, it takes a bit of fidgeting to make it stick, but I might try to improve it.

smcginnis- It's not cheese, it's supposed to be salmon. And the fishing pole was there because the water is already taking up that much space.

The dark tide- What colors need to be changed?

nazgul- I'll let Sadhorn Leif answer this- "Two anvils allow higher production rates, which means Erik can send more shipments to the fortress. Erik gets paid more, Borik gets a work buddy, and I can finally stop fishing."

Nice. I like the whole spread out feeling to it. Most smithies I've seen are cramped inside a building. The dock seems kind of haphazardly, though.

I really like this. My favorite thing is the axe in the stump. Mostly, it is good, although a few things bug me(Even though you have explained them already.) One thing that hasn't been mnetioned, is why is the Blacksmith wearing armor? Wouldn't that be really hot?

Other than that, Good job!
