Hey all,

Deborah Higdon presented this wonderful village at Brickfest: St. Paul de Vence:

Here is her Lugnet announcement. She based these on a series of sculptures of these buildings by jean-pierre gault. The real village is in southeast France.

Pretty neat stuff, magnificent structure...
Fountain is just awsome (actually water), lanscaping is good and the color combination gives it pretty realistic look...
I like the vegetation, foliage works well with those 1x1 round bricks as flowers, but I would like to see some brown bricks at the rocky landscaping, it would be nice (more realistic) if those plants are growing from something, not just rocks...
By the way, not very castleish MOC

Overall, GREAT JOB :)
Greetings from Serbia

She has a pretty sweet fountain. Anyone know how she did the stream of water?

I believe those are the fiberoptic cable pieces.

I wouldn't be so sure, I have the fiberoptic from the fantasy creator set (it's not half-bad actually) and the cable barely fits through the peices in there. I must have a much larger version of it but I'm wondering where to find the thinner one.

Just curious,

This is a really nice set of buildings. Number seven is my favorite, but I love number five as well.

I'm not sure, but I think that's a clikit. Looking at the end of it here is what makes me think of it.

Learning French.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

Ah, thank you for the explanation, thought it was sort of odd.

Once again, thanks,

Or it's the fiberoptic from thoe old UFO sets - they're a lot thinner. I think I have some somewhere...

Anyway, to the village. I like this, especially the roof... I know it's been done, but it just looks so good here.
