Hey all,

Arthur Gugick (Torgugick on Brickshelf) has a lot of great MOCs recreating architectural landmarks. Here is his Leaning Tower of Pisa:

Looks good. I really like his use of these pieces. A pity he dinĀ“t take any pics of how he made it lean though... Would have been interesting...

Hmm Bruce you always seem to beat me to these posts...

I just saw this on brickshelf yesterday and wasn't able to post on it yet.

I really like this one. It is realstic, made after a real building, and "copied" well. The architecual elements to this building are very interesting and make a nice study in LEGO building. The lean is also quite peculiar and could have been difficult, dependinig on the weight and all of the top. Thanks for posting this Bruce!

Ooh, nice :) . The detailing is nicely done and he did a really good job with the tilt, I wonder how he did it (more as in how he got it so that there are no obvious "angling" gaps). Overall, very nice.

He has pulled off the curve so effectively, it looks great. I would love to see how he has achieved the tilt too.

I think he put a plate or two under the left side bottom of the tower... As simple as that ;)

Simplicity is always the best way to go ;)

-The above post can be offensive-

That's a cool model of Pisa. The details are extremely well done. I hope he builds something Turkish :P.

El Mariachi, statements like this are not allowed or tolerated on CC. I assume you meant this as a joke, but I can't really tell. But it really doesn't matter. If its a joke, its in very poor taste. If its not a joke, then the statement is extremely ignorant. Kindly refrain from statements like this in the future.

That would be very cool too! He has a large spread of architecture form all over the world, and something turkish, or perhaps even something like ottoman empire would be a great addition to his repitiore! (The spelling is close, but I'm not certain...)

Ottoman=Turkish ;)

Anyways, I've looked at his other stuff and; man! They are awesome. My favourite one is the Arch de Triumph :).

Yup-I meant more like ancient turkish as opposed to anything old, but more recent.

This looks really good. The tilt seem accurate, and his use of greeblies is great.
