That is pretty cool. I like the ruined look of the exterior. Its too bad the picture of the interior is so small, I can't really make out any details.

That looks a bit familiar... I feel like I've seen it before but I can't really be sure...

Anyway, it's a great creation - huge walls and what-not, but the best part is by far the interior - that building really has a lot of live/detail going on inside... which does indeed make it too bad that the interior pic is so small, as Josh said~

Nice find.

Very nice tower. The interior is great looking, and the outside is really cool. I like that 'floating' roof, and it's cool how you can only get in through the balcony. Too bad there aren't more (and better) pics.

Do you think it might have been an entry into a CCC or something? Only 3 small pics...

It looks sweet, though! Do you think you might ask/dig up more pics Vastor?

That what I was thinking. It's rather boring from a distance, then you focus in on the details. I like the details on the outside, the run down look, the open roof. I don't like the swing-open style of interior access any longer. I used to do it all the time because I cut my teeth on the Yellow Castle many years ago. This looks too busy opened up, it's too hard to track on whats happening in each room. This style does give a more rigid structure. Though, the newer "wedding cake" style does as well. Like Josh's Lighthouse and Frank's castle from NWBC. Nice idea, this one.

I remember seeing something similar a while ago actually, it was a central keep built to serve as the AFOL's daughter's doll house. It was set amongst walls & other structures but the keep stood about 3 - 4 feet tall & was very impressive. I just had a quick scan of brickshelf but couldn't find it - i'll look harder later ;)

Anyway ... nice MOC, I like the "dollhouse" functionality myself, but feel as though it hasn't quite been pulled off as well as it could. There seems to be a massive amount of detail inside, but as said before, I can't make anything of note out. I like the window shades/roof bits though. It's scale is impressive too

This tower is still in progress.

The builder is "ruckzuck" (Thomas Muskovich) and his wife. Both are from austria and Tom is a 1000steine member.

He announced some more detailed pictures for the next days. He's still working on the in- and exteriors.

regards,

This is really good. The way it opens up is really nice, and the detail put into it looks wonderful.

This is a nice tower.
I like the random details on the outside walls and the way the interior opens. I counted 7 levels, wow!
Tiled floors would look much better though.

Great find!

Hi guys,

I just found this topic and as we registered just two days ago I was pretty surprised to find our peel here.

To answer the questions and give some information:

It was not an entry to a CCC we just made it for fun after watching a documentation about medieval towers when we had a weekend without our kids

Here is a foto of one of the towers we used as specimen for the outside walls (the inside was created out of the info we got from the documentation and of course our fantasy) http://www.burgenreich.de/pictures/Burg ... hrturm.jpg

We tought of tiled floors but don't have enough tiles and as the floors were usually very rough it was ok for us that way.

The roof is no longer on top of it. It was really nice but I felt the tower appered too high and somewhat inapt with it so I took it off.

For everyone who is interested: you can find more detailed fotos now on our homepage (http://www.brick.at/engl/wehrturm_eng.html).

Nice work here Verena. And welcome by the way. I really like the somewhat ruinous look the the outside (mottling). There are alot super details crammed in this. My favorite part is the cow being lifted up, and the privy (I know, that kinda sounds weird...)

It doesn't sound weird. Same here! I really love the privy. It's one of the best details for me

And thank's for the welcome
