Village mosque

Post by gambort »

Continuing my theme of Islamdom I present a village mosque from the time of the Selçuks. I was trying to make this a sort of advanced playset with removable details, characters etc.

I have to give vast amounts of thanks the the aptly named Selçuk Göre for all his help digging up images for me, looking over the mosque and generally providing me with access to information in Turkish. I really couldn't have done this without his help

Great job. I like all of the details, inside and out!

Thanks,

I love it! Great job on the crescents. I've never seen a real mosque inside, but I assume that this is close to the real deal. It's nice to see so many castle-era MOCs based around non-european things lately. This is another good example. Thanks for sharing!

I agree, although I am more focused with European Medieval life myself, there is so much more to the time period, great work.

I like how the cresents were done, but looks like to me they don't do that in real life. With the wrist part being a lot smaller than the cone's hole.

If you look a little more carefully you will see two very small pieces of flex holding the wrist and the ends of the plumes together.

It's visible in the renders but a bit clearer here

Nice mosque there! The crescents are excellent, I was thinking of a way to do it :). The inside is really realistic for a village mosque.

A lovely mosque (first one I see in Lego). Looks very authentic.
I like the details on the inside!
