First/Last MOCs

Post by E of Alshire »

Inspired by a topic by Sir Brithead, I thought it'd be fun to see how everyone's improved. The idea is to post your first posted and most recent MOCs. I bet we can all spot a lot of improvement!

First:
Wizard's Tower

Most Recent:
Forest Fortress

Ironically, I like the idea of the first far more; though I don't think anyone can argue that the excecution of the second is far better. Or maybe they can, I don't know.

Well here was my first on-line MOC (back in pre cc lugnet.castle days):
Woodsmen Waterfall
And my most recent:
Entrance to the Caves

I guess the waterfall is a theme ; )

MOC stands for "My Own Creation", which is essentially any and everything built with Lego. Considering i've been building with Lego since I was four, how am I supposed to enter this "honestly"?

Or is it just the first thing uploaded to Brickshelf that's needed/ first castle MOC etc? :?

EDIT- Thanks Josh.

I've built town primarily before Castle, so the church isn't so much a first Moc, rather a Moc built after much research and inspiration. but I dunno, you get the idea.

I believe that's the idea, since almost all of us have been building since childhood. :)

Cool idea. Always liked to sit back and notice progression.

I actually have four I would like to post, since I have two castle-making views.
Heres my first uploaded creature:

What is the time difference between your MOCs, Josh? That's definately the biggest improvement so far imo

I've been building all my life, and have quite a few [very] mediocre models from the earlier times. This model was my first dip into castle:

Image

It was built for the first CCC contest, and I've definitely come a long way. Aside from that, my first real castle model was this tower:

Image

Finally, my most recently model is Stoneguard Hold, as seen here & in my signature:

Image

Stoneguard was my first enclosed castle fortification, and I hope to do many more! I think I've definitely improved, but I also have many more pieces to build with than I did at the start.
