CCCL - Brothers Brick and the next poll

Post by Bruce N H »

Hi all,

Our next CCCL pick is The Brothers Brick

Image

The best LEGO blog on the Blog-o-Tubes was started by forum member Andrew (Dunechaser), and now also features forum member Linus, mod Josh, and admin Nate. These four bloggers highlight the best of the best of the Legoverse every day. Read this blog daily to see great MOCs from all themes.

Our next poll is the "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride" battle - second place finishers from previous polls:

Chaos Skies Yes, Anthony's Kingdom of Ikros is already featured, but he started on a brand new track with his subsequent Chaos Skies. This is an epic LEGO-illustrated story in a castle fantasy theme.

Eurobricks- General site includes a "LEGO History and Adventure" forum.

Nelson Yrizarry (note: castle content is in "Castles", "Micro" and "Sculptures->vignettes" folders)

Castle World This is a forum devoted to LEGO Castle storytelling.

Bricklink This is a general community site that allows individuals to sell LEGO elements. This resource gives us all the power to get the pieces we need to complete our projects.

Onishi Shinji cool castle and monster creations by Onishi Shinji

This is one of the toughest decisions yet. Eurobricks is a great site, although there isn't enough castle content. Chaos Skies, as is anything by Anthony Sava, is a great story/MOC site. Both Onishi Shinji, and one of my favourite builders, Nelson Yrizzary, are inspiring to MOCers everywhere. Castleworld definitely encourages more storytelling to go on. Finally, where would we be without Bricklink? This online Mecca gives us access to every set, piece, and fig that we could ever need. This is why it edged out the others and got my vote.

Although I love Sir Nelson's MOCs and eurobrick's leaks, I must say bricklink will come in above both of these. It is the source of used lego parts and is essential when I build MOCs, or lack a brick or 2 to complete a set. :)

Wow! Talk about a hard decision! I only finally made up my mind due to the fact that Sir Nelson is "one of ours" and thus scored slightly higher than the rest. I will be sure to vote for others of these at a later time...

I voted for Castle World. I'm a member there, and the forums are quite possibly the friendliest place on the web (well, at least relating to LEGO). There are also a lot of useful resources for storytellers, both new and experienced, and since there seem to be a lot of writers here on CC, I believe Castle World would be ideal for the next CCCL. :)

Aww..now I feel sad too.

Please allow me to explain. I did not mean that Tony is not one of ours, I simply meant that since Ikros is already featured that perhaps we give another member a chance!

So Sava will you forgive my mis-speak?

While all the sites fetured are great, I had to go with Bricklink, because I use it the most.

I voted for Eurobricks because I voted for it the last time it was up... and because it is one of the last places online where castle exists in a mixed forum and can give/draw inspiration from/to all of the 'history and adventure' realm of lego.

God Bless,

Actually, I am surprised that Bricklink isn't already a CCCL. It is a great resource to any LEGO fan.

Thank you, those who voted for me, but I can wait awhile longer to become a CCCL. The best is yet to come!
