Help with stairs

Post by Jesse311131 »

Hello everyone,
I'm new here but i need some help in making stairs for a WIP that I started a few years back but quit making because I needed to find a good way to make stairs. Do any of you have some references or ideas for me?

You need to serve up some more details. For instance:
circular or straight
stone, wood, metal grating, etc.
what you have tried and didn't work.
how many bricks tall you are trying to reach?

Also there are several 'stair' pieces that LEGO has made. Many Harry Potter sets had spiral stair cases, and straight open-rise stairs come from many different sets.

Definitions:
Rise- the vertical surface of the step, usually between 5 and 9" tall
Tread- the horizontal surface that you step on, usually between 9 and 16" wide.

First, welcome to CC.

Second, some tips on good castle building is detail. Start with small things and a lot of detail. Really try to focus on that for the most part.
