Castle Keep *WIP*

Post by Za!s »

A keep I'm working on, feel free to post suggestions.

I just made a $65 order from Bricklink today, so I hope everything turns out well. I'm also considering scrapping the whole MOC, in faver of a larger footprint.

hi, welcome to CC!
This looks like a promising MOC indeed!
I like how you integrated the stairwell nicely :)

A couple of comments/questions:

1. why did you choose to build the archway using different inverted slopes (75, 45, 33) instead of the regular arch brick?

2. this is a comment: personally i prefer to see the door in front of the portcullis, just like lego does its usual castles (6090).

3. you might wanna shift the castle to the side of the baseplate so it can open up in a hinged fashion

but overall, very good job. looks like it has a lot of potential :)

That looks very impressive indeed. Can't wait to see the finished product. You obviously put a lot of detail into the architecture.

Very nice! I like the basic design, and it will undoubtedly be far better when finished. Suggestion; be sure to include lots of stairs and ladders, so every part is accessible. Many people forget this, especially TLG itself.

Because it looks more "gothic" than the alternative.

Thanks for all the encouragement, I'll begin working when I receive my Bricklink order.
