Samurai tower diorama by uruklurtz

Post by Bruce N H »

Hi all,

Uruklurtz has posted this Samurai tower diorama:
Image

There are some very nice bits to this, like the addition of chains to the bridge and that tree on the left.

I like how he took the sets and incoprorated them very well into a MOC. Nice work here!

The scenery looks very Japanese, I love it.

The tree is definetly most excellent. I always love when people do ninja MOCs. Its not too common.

You know, I like this alot, but the spring bugs me. In fact it kind of ruins the MOC for me. I have never seen a natural spring with that kind of pressure behind it. And if there was, there would be a lot more water on the ground than there is.

Just my 2 cents,
Josh

I really like your diorama. Great Job.

I especially like the rock/cliff face, where you used both light and dark gray to get a great effect. – Very nice indeed.

Indeedy, and as Bruce mentioned the chains on the bridge are very nice too!

I quite like the inclusion of tan into the rock formations, and while the burn would've maybe been better in trans-blue, I do like the brick-built mini waterfall.

I love it! My only concern is some of the randomness of colors. Otherwise, I think this is awesome.

I am mostly just so excited to see a ninja/asian MOC, and especially such a big one. It does seem to be a little "packed" in some areas, in that the red "side" seems to have a shrine or what-not right next to the blue "sides" castle... but anyway...

The bridge is really cool - both in the way it looks and the way it is built. Also, I'm a sucker for this kind of rock-building/modeling... it looks so cool and natural in the LEGO scale to me...

Great mix of ninja and samurai warriors... nice action... great MOC.

This is very cool. I am wondering, did he paint the samurais' armor?

Looks like permanent marker to me. End result is rather cool.
