Vig from Queen of the night Aria

Post by Prince Imdol »

Ok, so. I have not been active for a wile, nor posted many creations. Well I have an awesome castle, a cool lego display held at the library, and this which I am about to show you. I think this is the most organelle lego Moc. Please tell me if it is not.
Well for you non classic music lovers, The Queen of the Night Aria, is from Mozart's opera The Magic Flute This is the hardest section for the soprano who has the Queens part. It goes up to a high F#. Which is higher than any of you guys can go.

What inspired me. Heh... well..... my sister singing it yesterday.
This scene is about how the Queen gives here daughter a knife, and tells
her to kill someone. (Its in German, I cant get every fact).
Well, here it is. Hope you like it. Oh and if you want to know how it sounds go here.

Also here is an 8-year-old boy singing it. Lol

I'm not familiar with the opera but the scene looks well done. The Playmobil knife actually fits the scene as well, though I hate to think how it is stretching out the minifig's hand!

Well, the one in the skirt and helm is the queen of the night. The yong looking one leaning against the bead is her daughter, that she is mad at.
The guys in the backround is optional. Some preformances have it. Come dont.

I have actually seen this opera a couple of times. I don't remember the scenes vividly, although I remember the plot & the characters. This would be a great idea to do as a series as the opera has many fantasy sequences. Interesting tile work but I think it needs more wall - doesn't this particular scene take place in a prison / dungeon or something? I will have to check it out ...

Also after that, I go to the galapagos.

This is pretty cool, although I would agree with DARKspawn about the walls.

This is a great opera (although, lets face it, all of Mozart's are!). I remember the first time I heard that section with the high F#, I didn't think that was possible!

Slightly off topic perhaps, but have y'all seen the movie Amadeus? It's a fictionalized account of a feud between Mozart and Salieri, another composer. The scene that this vig represents is in the movie, along with a few other famous scenes from Mozart's operas. I strongly recommend Amadeus, it may be my favorite movie ever!

Wow, yeah. I actually heard this opera not too long ago. I'm not sure if the singer actually hit the High F#, but she came pretty darn close!

I actually recognize this scene from the opera and the movie. Nice work here (although as some other have mentioned maybe a wall or something would be nice, just to give the effect of more of an interior space.) The fig posing is nice too.
