Note: This is what I said in my review a wile back.

"It looks as though the bricks on the keep are somewhat randomly placed. I suggest looking a picture of a real keep, and then trying to model after it."

But a good start.

Welcome to CC. That's pretty good. You're definitely on the right track. I like how you incorporated some of the plant pieces.

Great first attempt, my suggestion would be to get hold of some reference material as stated before, or even just mod existing castle sets until you have a better feel for castle MOCing.

Building castle is alot more difficult than say space for instance, imo. It's much easier to wack a few parts together & achieve some wacky angles and declare it a space ship than it is to emulate something that is real, beleivably. For me, at least anyway.

So my suggestions are -

Grab some reading material, either a book or use the net, find detailed pictures & floor plans of real castles to get a better feel. Norro has posted up some great inspirational sites in the Medieval life forum, actually

Limit your palette - don't use too many colours & try not to mix the new shades of grey with the old

Remember to have fun & post up your MOCs at CC :)

Hope this helps!
