Until January, eh? That's an awful long time for a building contest, don't you think? I'm not sure many people have that kind of attention span.

True, but it takes a long time to make a story like this.

Oh, I see. I thought that in January you chose one creation as the winner. I see now that you are asking for a series of creations that make up the whole... is that correct?
You should probably let everyone know what version of the story we're going by. For example, is it Sir Thomas Mallory's Le Morte D'Arthur or Disney's The Sword in the Stone? There are a thousand different versions out there, and unless you specify, you're likely to get a thousand different creations that don't tie in with one another.

Well I have a King Arthur book on hold at the Library(Pyle, Howard, 1853-1911). I will read that and see what its like. We will not go by the movie as I thoght we would. I know that we will do these storys for sure, The Sword in the Stone, were Arthur gets his new sword, and the death of King Arthur. And probly three between the second and third.

Yes, don't go by the movie. you want an Arthurian legend, not a Celtic/Roman hodgepodge. Not that the movie isn't great, I wouldn't know, but it certainly isn't the classic Arthur.
Whatever you go with, make it quite clear to the competitors, lest you have several different fates of several different people coexisting in the same story. (Great for Star Trek, but this isn't scifi.)

I wish I may I wish I might build the story of Arthurs plight.
That is so tacky I just had to write it down.
Anyway, if I have the time/chance to see the movie, we'll see what I can build. I'd love to see a web-based collaborative building project. Not all of us can make it to the big fests.
