Yeas!

About Telemar (the crownies), they are mentioned to be "americanesque". Does that mean that they live on a large island to the west of everything else?
Oh, and Napoleon, you said you have made a map of Castleland. Could you post a picture of it?

Seikfried, i remember King Albert of the BF saying "My men are camped about ten miles from here, next to the river" at some moment...

Sorry I haven't answered your question, but yes, on the map, the Viking River runs thru the entire continent. AND, yes, Normendy, Ruratainia, including the Duke's Grand Duchy of Jarith, and Telemar all are situated on the northern side in that order. Morcia, Norvunda, and the Orclands are situated on the southern side in that order.

So, basically...

Normendy Ruratainia Telemar coast Celtic Sea

___________________________________________
______________________ VIKING RIVER ____________
Norvunda
Morcia Orclands coast Celtic Sea /

:) If you can understand the "map" above, I hope you all are helped out by it. I wish someone who knew how could make a map. :raiseone: Anyone?

I may possibly try to make a map...
But... where is Dunnland, Peachland and BF Empire then?

Oh, I forgot! Peachland is under the Orclands, Dunnland is an island country located quite a long ways under Peachland, the Black Falcon Empire separates the two. I should have mentioned Legoland sooner, as it's under Morcia. (Legoland is Celtic.)

I hope you can make a map! :D

Oh, Sir Zepp, I am for "Castleland Group Stoies." :)

I wish you the best of luck in making the map, Albatross; there is a possibility I could make a map myself. There is a program called Campaign Cartographer 3, which can be installed onto a computer, much like Sim City. It is basicly 100% about making fantasy maps--very awesome fantasy maps (not to say that any map you make, Albatross, will look bad or anything). Anyways, it's number one on my B-Day list :) , and I really hope I recieve it. Napoleon, if you said you have a big ole' floor map made of seperate sheets of paper taped together? (If I remember correctly). Is there any way you could seperate each piece of paper, take the pictures, and PM them to me and Albatross? Then, we could just crop each picture to just the paper, and we'd have a map to work off of.

Alright, you're all for "Castleland Group Stories", which is the one I prefer too. What does everyone else think?

Thanks for the compliments; I'll try to get the story onto the site as soon as possible. As to the dwarf in the upper left-hand corner, that was part of the template. I can change that picture (look at my site, and you'll see an example of this.

Does anyone have a good idea for the name of this tale, besides "Castleland Group Stories #1"? I was thinking it might have something to do with the Forestmen; maybe we should wait for the story to develop more before we name it. As to that I'm going to edit from this story, it will only be spelling and, if it is really needed, punctuation.

Before I start putting the story on the site, I have a question to ask of all of you. I thought of this when I saw Forestboy's summary of the story; the story starts out with King Benito raving about killing all of these people, and then jumps straight to Robin IX in the woods. Should we cut the Benito part out of the story? If the story keeps on going like it is, King Benito will play no part in it. The other option, which is one that I really like, is to start including King Benito and his quest to "cleanse" his lands. Then, the war with Ruratania and King Benito's raids could combine to make one really nice climax.

Now, on to our essential Duke of Jarith, whose alliances are unclear. I have an idea about what we can do with him:

The duke has much political influence, and gets some of his fellow Ruratanian, who are his allies (and forces a few dukes who aren't his allies), into seperating from Ruratania. This would set the stage for a Forestmen/Germanesque/Ruratanian/Wolfpack/ vs Jarith & Allies/King Benito?/country yet to be determined/ war.

What do you all think?

I'll start playing as a ally of the Duke if you would like. What faction would you like to have jump in there if I do so?

That sounds like a good idea.
And Norvunda. Remember that Eiran has sent some men to Norvund to get some reinforcements on the way :)

Ive been thinking a little bit about some guys quite similar to the mongols arriving at some moment. What do you think about that?

I like that idea, A_V! As a matter of fact, there is always the Sameri Empire! :) Maybe, after we resolve the whole Jarithian story, we could do a new story completely centered on a Sameri invaision! :woo: The Sameri might seem to be named after Japan, but its actually just "Orientalish."

Oh, Sir Zepp, maybe you could put the list of characters on the new site. I saw on your site where you have different links to all the chapters; maybe on the new site, you could put the list of characters in a link, too. :) That way, if people who visit the new site get confused, they can just look up the character on the list. We could probably put a brief paragraph telling about their traits; we could also probably do the same for countries! I know, you can write the character descriptions and I'll write the country descriptions, then you can put both on the site. :) What do think?

Maybe A_V could make a map, and we could use that until you get CC3. That way we could get a map,(my camera is not very good, and dosen't photograph paper well. I tried it with some of my art, and it didn't come out right) and Sir Zepp could base his map off of A_V's who based his on my description. :woo: That might work! Let me know if that is OK with you guys!

Hey, guys! I wrote these yesterday to help eveyone understand the basics about all the major countries. I hope some of my info doesn't conflict with your map, A_V! I wrote all this stuff before I read your last post. Anyway, these are the country descriptions that will probably be put on the Castleland website. Oh, and just so it's clear, I spelled "Sameri" that way on purpose.

RURATAINIA
Now under the leadership of King Orion III, Ruratainia has many problems. Among these problems, there is always the threat of invasion by their territory-hungry neighbors to the east, Telemar. To the west is Normendy, who, under King Benito X, have been expanding their borders in all directions. Unless diplomatic relations improve, war with Normendy ia assured. To the South lie the troublesome Forestmen, under King Alfred. And finally, is the constant state of war with the barbarian city-states to the north. The Northern Wilderness...conquest and expansion await there. King Orion is aging, and his son, Prince Orion IV is enthralled by the idea of expanding in that direction.
CURRENT LEADER: King Orion III
NEXT-IN-LINE: Prince Orion IV
STATUS: Superpower
GOVERNMENT TYPE: Absolute Monarchy

NORMENDY
Normendy is the strongest nation in Castleland. Under their new king, Benito X, the nation is destined for greatness and glory. However, Benito is childless, and if he should be killed, the military would almost certainly have to overthrow the Crusader Council, Normendy's verion of a parliament, to keep the Council from spreading too much democracy. Do not be fooled, Benito wields absolute power over the Council, but without him, they would gain too much power. Officially at war with every non-human race/nation in Castleland, Normendy has few friends and many enemies. With its enemy, Morcia , being the only nation who cuts Normendy off from the Western Sea, Morcia must fall, too. To the east is Ruratainia, under Orion III. Orion is old and feeble, but his son is much feared by everyone in Normendy. Diplomacy is being attempted, but if it fails, war will come.

CURRENT LEADER: King Benito X
NEXT-IN-LINE:
GOVERNMENT: Absolute Monarchy
Status: Supreme Destroyer and Slayer of Kings

More to come...
