It would be nice if everyone would change their avatar to their character pictures.

I know it would take some time to recognize you all, but I think it would be worth it.

Good Idea!

Mark of Falworth wrote:There are some good questions there.

First I think gunpowder weapons would be a bit out of the theme I believe we were going for. Gunpowder was so revolutionary it changed the scope warfare for the entire world. I think knights and castles would be more appropriate. :)

Steam power. Well, I can't see a knight driving a steam powered boat. So I don't really think that's feasible.

As to religions It's whatever you want to do. there are no established religions in Roawia.

I don't think there are any rules as to that.

Now, These answers are not official. I'll ask the other members of the committee what they think and we will get back to you. :)

Yes while Gunpowder did change the scope of war, It existed in medieval Europe for at least 70 years before it became reliable, so if a few chosen men had some of the primitive firearms like the Chinese fire sticks, (especially eastern factions like... ohh I don't know..Loreos...).
But to have steam vehicles is stupid.

@bentoft: an attractive idea, but it might cause some confusion. Some forum members named their main character after their own forum nickname, but for others, these are two seperate identities, each with their own name.

I say no no to gunpowder, that would bring cannons soon, then guns and other strange stuff. Lets just make a world with out gunpowder, high middle age battlefare. :D Steam maybe not, goes almost in same category with gunpowder.
@bentoft: as that would be a good idea, I agree with koffies comment.

I dont think it spoils the forum identity to update the avatar, but I understand if some dont want to.

Please no gunpowder. I think it is a realm that will lead to controversy, and one we don't want to open up.
I don't think that steam powered things are neccesary either. We have to set bounds and limits on this stuff, if we don't LCC may turn into something else. I want it to stay a medieval project. Steam and gunpowder will change that.
You would rather be building right now.

I Don't think gunpowder is necessary, I think we should go with Medieval stuff, and we really shouldn't do steam power! That began after the pirate age. :?

Well technically they had gunpowder and even gun-like weapons in the Middle Ages, but I get the point. And agree to it. This is should be sword and sorcery (sorcery to lesser extent ofcourse  ), not cannons and guns.

Another question all together. I've been reading A Song of Ice and Fire (and also watched the show ofcourse), and in there the Eastern (arabic-ish) lands are known for their slavery. In my eyes the faction of Loreos does the same, and has many slave-soldiers, -guards, -servants. Does anybody feel the same? Or do you think that that is to barbaric (although it once was considered normal)?

I think you are on to a good one here. Slavery was rife in the ancient world and should be a part of it all. We could even have a slave revolt sometime :D

Thanks! I also (bacause I have so much of them) see the fleshies as the desert 'race'. Especially the Prince of Persia minifigs. Therefore I would like to use them as such and the normal yellow figs as the slaves. So the fleshies are kind of the oppressors. At least that is what I see in my mind. I know it will be difficult for a lot of builders because they may not have these figs, but I thought it would be a good idea.

Oh erm... should these posts be on the discussion thread? If so you lovely moderators ( ) can replace my comments to that thread :D :D

Those who want to use slavery can be allowed to use it, because it was a part of the time then and i don`t think it is only Loreos faction that use it.
But considering that almost everybody has yellow figs as the most fig they own, your idea that fleshies are the oppressor is a good idea. If someone want to use fleshies (I think they should be banned) the fleshies are the slaves not the other way around. :) :D
And Elderon the Order Knights of Justice will not be allow Slavetrading at all and hate slavers  so beware your moves if you consider this :D, does not matter what faction you belong 8)
