Oh Megablocks! I missed out on the vote...

I'll probably post something soon for a free build. I've had a scene for Arturius sitting on my desk for awhile now that is begging to be finished showing him in Campus Xavier (just outside Morastius-Renu) training recruits and some guys in the background forging new weapons. I will eventually finish that soon for a free build. :D

Hey guys, in ancient times Rome and other southern European countries held events like gladiators and chariot races. Do you think that Loreos could have "games" like these? Maybe in a future local challenge? Also, I have seen some MOCs that have slaves in Loreos, do we use slaves or does it just depend on what you want to do in your MOCs?

Well done guys!
The global challenge was a smash!
I'm pleased with the results and you guys should be too!

Calculus3.14,
I like the idea, and we may do something along those lines. And if you want to use slaves, use them, its not an official must, so its completely up to the morals of the builder. :)

A Loreesi dungeon can be a depressing place
A small free build with a short story, (castle moc page(I am not so good a writting but I have alot of ideas :D ))

Image
~Ali Concava, the criminal organization Le Kharidiens Loreesi squad leader who was captured at the ruins of Arom-Kor is waiting in one of the Loseati Prison(tribute to WooddogSam moc)dungeons what will happen to him.
Image
~Mencot has come to interrogate the outlaw to find out more about Le Khardiens and their actions, in both Loreos and Roawia.
Mencot: - A Loreesi dungeon can be a depressing place, don´t you think?
Ali: - "the outlaw just stares at Mencot with an empty stare"
M: - You are the dreaded Ali Concava, right? Don´t answer because it doesn´t matter, you were captured with other brigands and the stolen goods we found is mostly incriminating. You know what the sentence for brigands who attack caravans are in Loreos?
A: -
M: - I would say this dungeon doesn´t sound so bad compared to it. Altough you are an outlaw I believe everybody are justified to get justice, I will make you a deal. You tell us who the persons where who escaped at Arom-Kor, what is Le Kharidiens and what is the sceptre we found in the stolen goods?
A: -Will tell you nothing?
M: -Let me tell you what we found out?
~Flashback~
Image
~What happened after the battle at Arom-Kor, Mencot and his men started going through the stolen goods found in the camp and also in the ruins. From all the items a strange sceptre got everybodys intrest.
Mencot: -Hmm a strange looking staff, what do you think this is?
Raheem: -Looks valuable and old, probably these puny outlaws stole it from some of these ruins found in the desert, I think..
~officer Hannah returns from searching the inside of the ruins!
Hannah:- Look what I found, a map of Loreos.
M: -Let me see. Hmm it has some places marked out, these ruins but also some marking to the west in the mountains! What do you think this is
~they are again interrupted, the old hermit suddenly appears from nowhere.
Hemit: -A storm is coming. You know what that sceptre is what you are holding boy?
R: -whispers to Hannah, who is this and where did he come from?
H: -sshhh
M: -No, I don´t (know)...
Hermit: -Silence boy, It is the Sceptre of Kor-Aron.
M: -Kor-Aron
H: -centuries ago Kor-Aron was a very wise, powerful and wealthy man in Loreos, this palace of Arom-kor was a oasis in the desert, a great pearl. People came here to admire it´s beauty and also here the wisedoms of it´s holder.
H: -What happened to it?
Hermit: -Times changed, Roawia changed. This place wasn´t builded by hand, Kor-Aron was also a very powerful mage. And at night strange things had started to happen in the desert and people started to fear this place. Then the rule of magic came and this place was attacked, ruined and pillaged.
M: -What happened to Kor-Aron?
Hermit: -Nobody knows. When Kor-Aron realised that all hope was lost, he turn his sceptre and said some strange words and dissapared. Leaving the attackers stunned. Without the protection of the mage this place, oasis slowly turn back into the desert, just leaving these ruins.
M: -What about this sceptre now?
Hermit: -Without it´s true owner it´s useless but it still has some magic powers and can be used as an beacon to find some special shrines of Kor-Aron. But I have told you enough now.
~Hermit starts to leave the place
M: Shrines, where can we find these places?
Hermit: ~sigh~ look whats in front of your eyes, follow the path to the west to the high places.
Image
Ali: -Funny story, what does this old fouls babblings have to do with me?
M: -I will tell you, one of the shrines were in the mountains in the west but we didn´t get it open, the scepter just illuminated. And what we want to know is what the mantra/password is to open it?
A: ~HAHAHA~ -this just gets better and better, I don´t know nothing of no ruins or door in the mountains. I am just a simple wood chopper.
M: - You are, how do you then know that it is a door in the mountain? I didn´t say what the shrine was, you been there?
A: -Arrgh, hmm, I mean, I meant I don´t know. Figured that ofcourse it has to be a door if you can open it?
M: -Start talking Ali Concava, now tell me what I want to hear or you will...
A: ~with a crocked smile on his face -I will tell you nothing "Knight of Justice"
M: Oh well, you ever heard of the order of Areani. It is a special band of men swore to protect the Prince from any danger that might threaten him. And what do you know, the crimes you are suspected of and being apart of this Le Kharidiens can be judged as a conspiracy against our Prince. And they have all the means to interrogate and I mean "All" the means to get the knowledge we want. Better tell me now and maybe you will get some "justice"!
A: ~spits Mencot in the face~ -HA
M: -Suit yourself. GUARDS

LCC - Merchants Guild - A2 - A Busy Dock

Apprentice –3 MOCs:
2) Your merchant acquiring his wares.

Hayden. is at a busy trading dock in Loreos Ultra bargaining fro some fish to take to the Eastern Dunes
Image

And my Updated army
Image
I made a brief synopsis about each unit:

Loreesi Mounted Spearmen are the Jewel of Hayden.'s Army, Made from the Higher classes of Loreo's society, they can provided a quick and mobile force which can lead a fierce charge that breaks morale, or can dismount and form a Phalanx.

Swordsmen, While The Loreesi are famed Horsemen, it is understood, if we were to ever declare war with the northerners, Cavalry would not be much usein the Icebound land, so Hayden. keeps a small band of Swordsmen trained with sword and shield for as long as they can remember.
however some Loreos despise them , as they are ennoble and believed to be barbaric.

Archers, these people come from the forested lands of Lores, they have studied with a Bow for years and have become experts, they Have joined the army so they c an get a piece of land when the retire.
Due to the experience they need to wield a bow they are very rare in Loreos.

Crossbowmen, Let it be said, Crossbows are not expert weapons, you can become proficient In using one in a matter of months, as archers are rare, The Loreos army recruits many Villains and train them with this weapon.

Armoured Lances are very Different to the Loreesi Mounted Spearmen, Its not that they are not the high class, or ride expensive horses, But that they are light, armoured, fast and experts in 2 very useful techniques, they can adopt the infantry tactic and form a tightly packed testudo, and quickly break and use Hit and run tactics to ware down a superior Cavalry force or Speared Infantry.

Eagle tribesmen are rare, unique to Loraddain Mountain in Northern Loreos.
After being conquered by Prince Lorean in the last decade, a price they had to pay was to provide a contingent of Eagle spear men to make up the ranks of Hayden.'s army, They are amazing trackers and experts at throwing golden javelins great distances, rivalling the range of an average crossbow.
