That is a wonderful map. Looks really good, the geography came out really well, and I love the fold marks. Well, after I catch up on what has happened over the year, I think your map inspired me to join back up again. (Long story short, I had to move suddenly twice in the last 8 months and have not been able to build anything until now.)

Any news on the final modifications needed for the map? I'll be having some free time the coming weekend and I thought maybe I could finish the map. I will also be providing local sections of the map for each faction for internal use and maybe a political view with faction colours instead of vegetation.

My only nitpick is that it says "Golf of Fishes" up in Garheim, instead of "Gulf of Fishes". Maybe it's a regional spelling difference, but I prefer "Gulf".

Thanks :)

Can you add the city of Fangroth to the Loreesi plains portion of the map?

Just south of Toberg by the mountains.

If you need me to mark it on the current map so you know where to add it,I can.

Thanks again,

Let's not add any more "official" towns to the map at this point. If everyone added a town, the map would soon become so cluttered it would be unreadable. You are welcome to use your new town in your MOCs, as may others, but adding another town to the overview is too much, I think. Perhaps if we ever do more detailed sub-sections of the map, then you'd be able to add your town at that point.

Can I at least make a map of the city itself (marketplace, palace, roads, public buildings) for myself and others to in our MoCs?

I think we previously have encouraged people not to draw maps of things that haven't been built. For example, if you draw the map a certain way, but then you or someone else decides to build something that doesn't agree with your preexisting map, then what?

I don't see any reason why you couldn't draw a map for yourself to help you plan your MOCs, but let's avoid restricting ourselves with stuff like that on this site so that there is more freedom for you and everyone else to just build as you see fit.

(This is actually the same reason that the map is not overly detailed with too many towns and landmarks. It's more fun to leave things open to imagination, and since this is a MOC-based fantasy world, not a MAP-based one, I think that is good advice)

That is great advice. I agree, I think that the map is fine, and too many cities and other such smaller details will overflow it.
