The Forging: A Novel

So I've been working on this for a while... so far there are around 30 chapters up. It is a realistic fantasy, meaning that it is not set in the real world, but also has no mythical creatures or magic. The terrain and setting is largely inspired by my home in Colorado. Enjoy, and leave feedback if you wish!

Great job! Its funny that having mythical creatures in it really dont have any bearing on the overall feel of the story (comparing this to Eragon because it reminded me of it.) I read the whole thing over the last few days. Keep at it man! I also liked that you based some characters off of your friends. I noticed a couple of minor spelling errors, but I didnt write down where they were... Mostly towards the middle of the story. And also I believe that you have a duplicate of chapter 32 replacing chap 31, so the story got a little hard to follow after that. Just a thought, but of course you could continue this and consider publishing it... You never know if the general public will go crazy for it

Did you ever think of some scenes done in Lego? Considering this is a Lego fan site? Might rustle up some more enthusiasm for your story and show people what your part of Colorado looks like.

Holy Cow! 30 chapters!! Amazing! It's uncommon to see a story that long.

I read a bit of it - the writing seems good! Very clear and easy to understand.

There is some truth here. :) Or at least some pictures of any kind :)

I really enjoyed your story mate, I'm gonna read it again :)
If you're wondering why I didn't continue mine it's because I am doing a major 'edit' of the book extending chapters and making it more interesting.

Thanks! As for spelling errors... hehe, yeah. And what's up is really only a first draft. I don't think I have any repeated chapters... hmm... I'll look into that. :D Thanks for reading, though! I appreciate any commentary, even if it is critical. ;)
