(It’s been a few days since I posted; I wonder if my characters are lonely… :) )

D3 – Port Black Lance

Duke Audric thought for a moment before answering, “Hmmm… if we win, I’ll place you in the position of court wizard. What exactly are you planning?”

Prince Henri gazed happily towards the island a few miles away from the ship. The voyage there had been rough and Henri, though he normally wasn’t the type to get seasick, had felt awful.

As the three ships approached the harbor they displayed their flags of peace so the inhabitants wouldn’t mistake their intentions. Still though, some townsman started ringing the an alarm bell. Some mercenaries and some of the local soldiery ran towards the dock and formed a small shield wall. Henri saw Gerodal behind them, and as soon as the ships was tied down, Henri walked quickly towards him.

(I’ll let you take the conversation Matt)

Person grinned and said, "You'll find out." He then disappeared into the night as quickly as he had come.

(I actually don't have anything planned. I'm still working on it. :P  )

Chris clutched his hand as he rode over the border. He had decided that he wouldn't help the Crusaders, but a time would come when he WOULD be respected. All in good time, he told himself. He had heard of the war going on. He had an alliance with the Black Monarch. But Gerrodil... he still had his sword. The sword of his fathers before him. Oh, the aggravation, he thought. He would sit this one out, for now...

When he got in and had told Alice he was alright for the hundredth time, he went up to his writing room, sat down, and wrote a letter addressed to the Black Monarch,

Ally,

I am sorry to say that I have many problems to sort out before I could join you in battle, and I am not sure whether or not I will join you even if they are.

Your Ally,
Chris de Stormdog-Wolgania, King of Wolfpack

As the army came closer to the Castle they started to spread out into their positions. Then someone made an interesting observation. The skellies were gone. One very brave soldier said
"Great after all that training what are we gonna do for fun."

The Shadow Knights ran from the wind. No, that is not a typo. They ran from the wind. Yes, I said it again. Who knew that a little castle like that would have a wizard who specialized in wind magic? Anyway, not only are they running from the wind, but a bunch of Vikings and drunk Crown Soldiers. Supposedly they were having a party. It's just sad, the Shadow Knight Elite being beaten by a bunch of guys with hangovers.

I4 - Royal Knight’s Capital

Sir Durante sighed as he followed the Crown Knight’s resident ambassador through the winding passage ways of the castle. His role of “guarding” the ambassador was largely ceremonial because the Royal Knights could definitely guard their own castle. He wasn’t the only Crown Knight with the ambassador; there was an older royal household knight there too.

As he walked along, he fingered Shadowbane’s hilt and wondered what was happening in his homeland.

After his duties were over, he went to his room and poured himself a glass of wine. Then he thought of her, the daughter of the Count of Eastmarch… ‘Hopefully I will be worthy of her hand when he returned. He had taken this assignment because he hoped he could earn some renown and fame, but unfortunately for him, this was a quiet, boring, and dull assignment. She had spurned his suit, but when he returned, he hoped her heart would have changed…’.

Duke Audric frowned after the Black Monarch’s father left; ‘Too many variables were forming in his plans. The prince was still loose and there was no telling where Gerodal might be… My Master will not be pleased, not pleased at all.’ he thought worriedly.

‘Gerodal’, the name brought a sour taste to his mouth, he had always envied the man’s qualities and power, but he still couldn’t seem to attain the bar that Gerodal had set.

He turned his attention to the scrolls in front of him. Reports said that 2,000 minifigs of the loyal nobles’ retainers had been mustered. Audric felt he had gotten as many troop as he would be able to get. The Black Monarch might be able to pull some strings with some allies to get some more troops, but he doubted that.

E2 – Castle of the Baron Blackheart

Baron Blackheart looked out a window at the masses of troops camped outside the castle. He had managed to muster 2,000 minifigs to the prince’s cause and he knew that no more would come; unless the prince brought any help back with him. Scouts said the Black Monarch had just about the same number.

His thoughts turned toward the prince, ‘I know the prince confided to me that he was seeking Gerodal, but I wonder if he’ll find him? Will the old man come? Will he bring any help with him? Also is the prince safe? I would give my best warhorse to know how and what the prince is doing.’

Unfortunately, the number is not that big. The Black Monarch stared at his own army of 1000, and 100 men under Fathrak coming through the gate from the failed attempt of capturing Prince Henri. He sighed. Well, he thought optimistically, if I lose, my son will be able to pull the country back together.

Chris was pacing in the arched hallway when the messenger came in. "Sir, there's a package for you." Chris got up and walked down the stairs the Entrance Hall where a package lay. The return address said it was from the Northern Bull Knights. Chris took one of his knives and opened it, and there it lay. His fathers sword. He picked it up, and noticed a letter on it.

Chris,

Here you go, young pup, I hope you're happy. Just know that thing inside of it no longer is. It's contained in some magical device created by Stephan.

Gerodal

The people were starving. The new King only ruled for a few days and he had already died of disease. Gorm trudged along with his water pail. He saw a mother crying over her sons last breaths. He would have his revenge. Already he was secretly forming an organization that had been raiding Wolfpack farms for the past two months for food and essentials. Soon his countrymen would be strong enough to take their revenge on the Black Monarch and all who were with him.

Lady Katherine had just announced that she would be taking up the studies of Necromanship when disaster struck. Engine came into the Great Hall with a ton of supplies and said he was leaving. Mark was secretly glad he was gone, but feared for the Kingdom and any others around it.
