500 is more reasonalbe. Most factions aren't geared for war yet (except the Soceror and Crowns and Vikings (who are always ready)) Keep armies small unless you recruit, which could take a long time (training and all that). Declaring war is more complicated then just saying: WAR!!! Allies of nations will get dragged in. Example: WWI: Austria-Hungarian Empire (Ally: Germany)declared war upon Serbia (ally: Russia) which then dragged in France and Briton, (allies of Russia) after the U-boat attack on the ship US enters the war. Japan (ally of US) attacks China and soon the entire world is in it. Declaring war is very slippery. Be careful who you call war on. And Megbloks are enemies of LEGO, no pulling them in. They live in another Universe. Let's keep this 'calm' war is coming too quickly, slow things down. Maybe a skirmish here or there but no full out war. Yet....

I've split the out-of-story posts from the Gaming Thread, and the posts remaining appear to be acceptable. It appears to me that you've managed to sort things out yourselves regarding the rest, so I will assume my services are not needed farther at the moment.

It's just a down time after the hyper first few days. In the old thread, we'd only get a couple of posts per week. However, they were usually longer, more thought out, more elaborate, and with better grammar. If you're still disconcerted, you can always write one yourself. :)

It's also Christmas... while not everyone has finicky internets like I seem to, you should remember that family get-togethers, new presents (LEGO!), etc. do tend to take up one's time.

What's the distance from one square to another? For example is the beginning of B-5 to the beginning of C-5 10 miles?

*waves*

Hello folks, :)

I haven't been around these parts quite that much as of late, and have been skipping out on reading up on the gaming forum completely when I actually do get around to stopping by.

..Anywho, what I'm getting at is this- I have a (Probably stupid) question:

Did another new Roleplay start up since I've been away? I was going to post some, since I haven't in a while, but the old thread seems to be dead, am I wrong?

Thanks!

~Amanda

Lamanda2, you hit the the nail on the head. We decided to scrap the old RPG since it was drifting to far from what makes it unique, Lego! So we started up a new RPG using a map made by Formendacil. The new RPG uses official Lego castle factions, from the Classic Castle factions, all the way up to the new Castle 07 factions.

You're more than welcome to start up on this new RPG! Just read the Entry thread to see the rules for characters.

P.S. No elves, Knights of the Hippo Land, or anything ridiculous please. Official factions only. That includes dwarves and the new troll/orc/goblin, uh :? , thingies.

Does anyone think that the Classic islands should be a series of small duchies, with complicated alliances and all? I think this makes sense since the Classic Castle line had a couple of different factions.

That'd be interesting. Plus it would allow a lot of opportunities for interaction. Someone might be hired to kill someone and someone else was hired to protect them therefore causing a clash between players.

I think that I'll make a Classic Duke or Baron as well as his two closest advisors. That way, a small conflict can be started and I can vent my creativity in getting it started!

Edit: What would you guys call the Classic knights whose heraldry is the shield with a light blue background, the inner left half is red and the inner right half is white? What would you call those guys?

Oh, I just realized that the shield I'm talking about is on the front page of the website!

Well, retype it. A smart idea for rpgs is to write in MS word first, then post it, this way you have an easy spelling/grammar check and a backup!
