Formendacil wrote:"Tell me," he said to the ruffian calmly and coldly. "Who hired you? And what, precisely, were you told to do with me?"

The ruffian looked up in terror, but didn't dare disobey.
The ruffian didn't really seem to know much.

"We was hired several weeks back, through underworld connections. H'everyone in the underworld knows that there's an 'uge bounty on yer 'eads."

"Bounty?" asked the Old Man.

"Yeah," replied the ruffian, frightened. "Three 'undred grand each. On you, on 'er, and on that knight-fellow. If your bodies are brought in ter the h'underground in Porta Lobo, it will be paid by a h'agent of the one 'oo wants yer dead."

"And who might that be?"

"I dunno, sir, h'onest! I was jist trying to make a little cash fer meself, don't ye see?"

"I see," said the Old Man. "And I'll let you go. But if you ever set on me again, I shall leave you in cinders." The ruffian nodded in terror, and started crawling away.

"Elwen," said the Old Man when the ruffian had left. "This could prove troublesome, but hardly more than that. I believe that we are well equiped to handle ruffians such as these. Still, it is a nuisance."

"Who do you think hired them?" she asked.

"The Sorceror-king, no doubt," said the Old Man. Elwen raised an eyebrow. "Oh yes, he's here too, after the same thing we are. The question is how far along.... Still, we cannot worry about him for now. We should be moving along."

"What about Sir Dractor?"

"I'll tell you about him once we're on our way," replied the Old Man. They stepped out the door.

"Oh," said the wizard to Elwen as they walked down the street. "I want to stop by the garrison. The Royal Knights will undoubtedly want to know that there a couple dozen crooks and brigands trussed up at the Lion Inn. I may have left them their lives, but I have no intention of aiding them over the law."

Grimacing at the fate in store for the ruffians at the Royal Knights' hands, Elwen followed along.

Daimyo wrote:"With this, the meeting is adjourned. Sergeant, where is the intruder now?"
"Waiting for your approval sir. At the Delvardan Gates."
Bjarn was not pleased, however. "I said not to take him prisoner!" he growled, "We have to idea as to his magical ability!"

Gladwheel shrunk back but said nothing. He stayed behind while Bjarn, Kellenwyn, and Gonderin left to see the stranger, with Barbod and Radjar tagging along behind.

Soon the group reached the gates of Drullen Bell, where a band of Forestmen stood around a lone figure with a cloth wrapped around his head to cover his eyes. Bjarn noted, however, that the stranger was still armed, and he was not bound by ropes or chains. He must have some freely and without argument.

Bjarn stepped forward and removed the blindfold. He then stepped back and bowed slightly.

"Welcome to Drullen Bell Keep, stranger. What is your name and why do you travel though are land?" he asked politely.

Grid G-7

Simon Iadoraz' cart came to an halt. After what seemed like an eternity of travel they must finally be somewhere.

"Are we there?" he inquired of Blackie.

"No sir, it's just that. well, take a look for yourself."

Iadoraz stuck his head out the window.

"Well I'll be darned," was all he could muster upon taking in the scene. What must once have been a small convoy appeared now to be a burning wreck. Smoldering corpses, burnt wood.

"Should we pay our respects for the dead?" Grey asked.

"Yes, but quickly, we have an appontment," Iadoraz replied. "And this appears to have happened for to recently for my liking."

RADJAR slipped under his sheets and dozed off, keeping his window closed. It had been a cloudy night, and he was glad of that. Soon he'd dozed off... but hardly for the better...
Radjar saw a swampland, the night had cast twilight shadow over the waters, and the moon showed clear through the trees. A tiger rushed through the forest, white fur brushing witht he branches of trees. A group of men leaped in front. The tiger gnashes its teethe, and the men were dead. The tiger continued, until it met a sheep. The sheep drew off its clothes and was a wolf. the wolf killed the tiger.
Radjar jolted awake. What could it mean? He was soon to find out...

Bjarn nodded. "I have learned from certain sources that you killed three Forestmen."

The Lonerenger did not even blink. "I do not deny it. They would not let me pass."

Bjarn also did not react to this cold reply. "It is against Forestmen policy to allow strangers into our realm. Why are you here?"

“I cannot say, for I myself do not know my own path in this life” the Lone ranger replied

"I'm sorry then, but I can not just let you wander about on my land killing my people."

“Then kill me now if it means soo much too you, or you could let me through, so I may go on with my journey”

it was getting dark at this point, But he could feel the flesh moving around in his arm healing...

"What...if" Bjarn contemplated, "I had a dozen Forestmen accompany you during your journey until you reach our borders, just to make sure you don't..ah...decide to infiltrate our own secrets."

The Lone Ranger paused. He then looked up at the deepening sky, and then back at Bjarn.

"I will consider you offer. However, may I spend the night in you castle, a wooden floor and a thin blanket would suffice."

Bjarn made up his mind in an instant. "You may stay, but I must have you under lock and key until morning, you have my word that I let you free in the morning."

He agreed thinking to himself “Hmmmm, this will be a change from my other journeys..”

He thought to himself while getting locked up in a cell for the night.

“I bet they will keep me in here...”

(a hour and half later)

it was dark and you could here every one sleeping, but it did not bother the Lone ranger, what did bother him was something burning on his chest, he woke up with a burning pain on his chest, he looked to see what it was, it was a broken key chain glowing red.

“Jen? JEN!”

breathing fast, He was looking at the key chain with his glaring eyes, but this time, they had a soft feeling to them, like something so precious to him was stolen.

“I must get out of here, now”

He picked up his sword and sliced the lock off, opening the door. Everything was going through his mind so fast, that he didn't feel the burning of the key chain. Walking down a path, he looked at the key chain, it stopped glowing. But then, He saw a blue light, so strong that he couldn't see, but he didn't care, he walked to it, a small half of a stone was hanging on the wall, he grabbed it and it stopped glowing.

Shocked in belief that he just found...

“The other half of her key chain, I FOUND IT!”

yelling out into the hall way.

“whats that?”

I don't know lets check it out, RING THE BELL!”
Ding, ding, ding. He heard men running toward him, he saw two forest men with swords.

“DROP YOURE SWORD!”

“Please, I found what I have been looking forr....”

He got shot in the hand, forcing him to drop the stone. But he was not shot by any forest men, it was a spy. He grabbed the stone and jumped out of the window before the two forest men or the Lone ranger could do anything about it...

And so it was with these thoughts that Caimlin grimly awaited the arrival of the Sorceror King.
It was dusk when the Sorceror King and his men reached the Bombardier. He was pleased with the time they had made. Had he not said that he wished to be here by nightfall tonight. As the group approached they were met by three rather nervous looking men. It was Caimlin and two of his officers.

"Hail your majesty." Caimlin said as they rode up. "My men and I are done here and will be leaving shortly. However, on behalf of Lord Void, I wish you good fortune on your journey and my most sincere hopes that this transaction has helped to nurture strong relations between my lord and your most magnificent person."

Caimlin gave Targon a nervous glance, wondering if he should say anything. Targon glared back at him, silently. It was the Sorceror King who broke the silence. He cared little for Caimlin's lengthy patter and was annoyed at being delayed from his meeting with Jacques.

"I do not believe in fortune, sergeant, and as to nurturing strong relations, they would be helped a great deal if you would only let me proceed to my ship."

Caimlin was taken aback and quickly moved out of the way as the column proceeded. Targon sneered as they passed, to which Caimlin returned a cold stare.

"My lord," said Targon, coming astride his master. "by your leave I would have a word with that sergeant. We have unfinished business between us."

"Do as you would." Replied the the Sorceror King. "As it is I have other things to attend to."

"WHAT IN THE MEGABLOKS IS GOING ON???"

The two Forestmen and the Lone Ranger turned about. Bjarn, followed by Gonderin, Barbod, Radjar and the Lone Falcon was storming down the corridor, looking furious.

"What is going on here?" he snarled, Bjarn had never been so mad. He had trusted this stranger who had trespassed on his own land and even givin him shelter, but the Lone Ranger slapped him in the face by causing havok and attempting to escape from his cell!

"Why did you do this?" Bjarn continued, "I trusted you, couldn't you at least trust me? You had my word that I would set you free in the morning, and yet you break out of you cell and..."

Bjarn broke off when he saw the arrow still imbedded in the Lone Ranger's hand. He bent forward, snapped the arrow cleanly in half and and drew the shaft out of the hand with a jerk. The Lone Ranger barely grunted. Bjarn examined the arrow for a second, and then turned to the two Forestmen guards who had rung the bell.

"Who fired upon him?" asked Bjarn sharply.

Both of the men shook their heads. One said, "Sir, neither of us had time to draw bows before a person hiding in the shadows shot this man."

Bjarn grunted. "I thought as much, this arrow is not of Forestmen make. Infact, I am fairly certain it's not of Wolfpack of Dark Forest, either."

Bjarn turned to the Lone Ranger, who had bee staring out the window silently. "Well, Lone Rager, what do you had to say?" asked the leader of the Forestmen.

"TYCO, what is this all about?" cursed Radjar.
The group stood silent for a moment. The Lone Ranger was gingerly escorted towards the healing chambers. Bjarn turned to face the three other men.
"That cleans that up. I swear, that tycoed ranger..."
"If Gladwheel doesn't start doing his job right, I"ll have his commsion..." Gonderin trailed off, following the guards down the corridor to the barracks.
"I apologize for this, however, in these troubled times you'd better get used to it. If you excuse me, it's been a long night." Bjarn remarked sternly.
"Well, I can't get any sleep as is," complained Radjar, "And if I ever did, I'd probably be awoke by some other incident. I'm going to visit the winery."
"I couldn't agree with you more there, Rad," Barbod nodded, "But around here there's no time for me to drink. I've got an army to run."
The Lone Falcon, expression calm and focused, simply departed the hallway without a word. It had been a very, very long night.

Barbod turned, and exited the room. This night was sure to be the same as the two before it. Lacking in sleep. He tossed and turned in bed, thinking about the past few days. What could happin to Reno? He thought. He probably has a want out for him. He could be killed! Barbod threw himself onto the floor. Then again, Reno is a strong boy. Reminds me of a young me...
Barbod smiled, and for the first time in days, fell asleep.

He was in shock, he was not listening to anything bjern said, he just stood there, then a bull knight came into the room, The Lone ranger focused his eyes on him...

“I've seen him before, what where?”

all of a sudden he went through a flash back, with fire and falcon troops all around him, watching a small boy getting beaten by a man...

“please! Stop, you are killing the boy, you have done enough to him, he has nowhere to go now just leave him be!”

“SILENCE! I wouldn't have hired you if I knew you would act like this!”

“I care more about the stone than this, but I will not let you kill him!”

“Fine. BOY! If my troops don't kill you before you get out of there range then you may live freely.”

“Run as fast as you can! HAHAHAHA!”

all the falcon troops started laughing. The boy got up slowly, but then started running.

“kill him...”

the arrows flew in the air, there must have been over 1000 of them all after the boy. But the boy was trained to dodge a arrow. And disappeared into the forest...

The Lone ranger's face was shocked to know this was that boy. “
Fallow me to the healing chambers please!”

One of the forest men grabbed him.

Then he thought of what just happened to him. Asking himself who that man was...

“Who was that man? Could it be? No, it cant be...No!!!!!”

He yelled out in pain...
