I don't know if anyone has seen this yet, but for a while, there has been a mod for Medieval 2: Total War that converts it into Lord of the Rings. You can play from a multitude of LOTR factions, like the High Elves, Orcs of the Misty Mountain, and Mordor, and there is also a Fellowship campaign (just started- not the best as far as this mod goes). I'm playing as the Free People of Erebior (?), with Aragorn as High King, just got the One Ring from the Orcs of the Misty Mountains, who found it. I recommend it to all TW or LOTR fans (or, for that matter fans of LOTR AND TW).

Sounds fun, I think I will try the High Elves first. I've always loved the Lord of the Rings, and now I get to play it in one of my favorite strategy games! What race/fation do you recomend to try?

I really like Gondor (really cool stuff, hard to describe) and Erebior. The Elves are cool, but they're hard to get moving.
