Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread
So are they at war or not? I just want yes or no.

Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread
The three factions are not at war with each other. A peace treaty (albeit shaky at best) was established after the War of Roawian Succession and Chartres went to Garheim while Loreos paid reprimands to Lenfald.
There is currently a peace treaty, so they are not at war.
They have not even declared war against the Outlaws at the current moment, because as you see in the newest GC, they are just preparing for whatever is going to take place.

It's nice to have a little peace and have a common enemy. Or at least until she's deposed, and then we can get back to fighting.

Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread
Ok, thanks for the clarification. I thought they were at war because of Mark of Falworth's "the Battle of Ainesford" and "Restoring Justice", but I guess those were built before the peace treaty.

Yes both of those were built before the peace treaty was fashioned.

Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread
Ok another question. For challenges such as the LC and GC, where do we post our entries?

Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread
For LC's, just post your entry in the Castle Mocs forum, and them grab the link to that post, and paste it in your faction's thread (with a picture of your build, and the story), saying you entered.
For the GC, essentially the same thing, you post the creation online somewhere (flickr, MOCpages, or from the Castle Mocs forum, after you posted it there), then grab the link and pictures for the contest, or say click link for picture and story, etc.
Essentially, read all the rules, and follow what they say.
Hope this helps!

Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread
Yes, basically all entries should be posted to your faction thread, regardless of whether it is a GC or LC. This will ensure that your faction leader can easily find it when compiling a final list of all entries. Whether or not you post it to the MOC thread is up to you, but it is nice to either post to the MOC thread or host on a site like Flickr or MOCPages so that people can comment on your creation, since you really aren't supposed to discuss MOCs in the faction thread (makes it too messy)
For GC's, you should also post a link to your entry in the GC thread so that we can easily tally how many entries each faction has without having to go to four different threads to find them all.
I hope that wasn't too confusing. Feel free to ask any follow-up questions you may have. You'll figure it out soon. We try to keep things pretty simple around here.

Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread
point points points So when do the points get tallied ? For example for GC VI the points for entering get tallied (theoretically) when entering and then the points for winning would be added when the winners get posted? Or all of the points for challenge (both entering and winning - when appropriate) get awarded at the tail end of things???
Just curious as I'm counting my points to see when I'll be a citizen and no longer a peasant

Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread
The points are "yours" as soon as you post an entry into a challenge or as soon as you post a free build. The official "standings" may only be updated once a month, but if you are working toward a certain rank (for example, "citizen" so that you can participate in the guild hall), you can consider that rank achieved as soon as you've earned the requisite number of points, regardless of what your faction's scoreboard says. If there is any doubt, you can always PM your faction overseer (or me) with a list of your points earned for verification.ludzik wrote:*snip* So when do the points get tallied? *snip*
As for awarding points to challenge winners, those are obviously awarded after all voting has been done. Typically over in Garheim, we like to update the faction scoreboard after the challenge is over and winners have been selected, just so we can do all of the score updates for that challenge all at once.
Does that clear it up?
Check out the info in this photo:Artix wrote:How can i post pictures straight away? because i've tried using the "Img"and "URL" but when i preview it, it shows plain text or just a link.

If I remember you need at least 10 posts before the forum will allow you to post pics. until then you need to use the link.
Nope just checked, and that must be another forum I am on. what AK showed is good let us know if you need anything else.

Let's take that discussion to the general Lego forum since it isn't directly LCC related
