Good points, David. Once a few more people have mastered some of the existing guilds, we definitely will look into adding a few more.

Faction-specific guilds are probably not going to happen, as the whole idea behind the guild halls was to give people a chance to mingle with the other factions. There are plenty of faction-specific activities already.

I like the idea of a hunter/farmer guild and an artisan guild. A thieves guild, by definition, requires stealing from someone else, which is not really an occupation that would be acceptable to anyone but the outlaws, so that one is definitely not going to happen. At least with the Mage's guild, people have the opportunity to use their magic for good, so the lawbreaking element is somewhat justified.

I'll start working on some ideas for new guild tasks over the next few months. Keep working on the current guilds! The sooner people start to complete the existing ones, the sooner I can add new ones

Thanks AK. Probably time to leave the theory and get back onto my MOC's for November . Reading up on guilds has been educational . I've gained a better understanding of how it all works. All good stuff !

I really think I should do some guild work after the CCC is over. I've always hesitated as the first MOC for the Heroes Guild sounded pretty challenging (Erathor lives in a castle), but I'm gonna give it a good go!

Hi everyone
So I have a few things I wanted to say.
First of all, when will Loreos and Lenfald be opened back up? It seems that Garheim and the Outlaws are about equal in members both active and non active, to the other two factions. Not that I am complaining about my faction getting an advantage but it would seem that loreos and lenfald were rather popular factions for newcomers, and while we have gotten a nice flow of new members, it seems like it is slowing down, and I believe that having all four factions open would increase membership.
Second, what is the KC's stance on bringing in outside islands? Such as RBC's Arondor, and I believe Damaximus mentioned Historica in his CIC. The reason I ask about this, is that I was thinking of bringing in some sort of island nation into my storyline, and I wanted to make sure it would be ok with the KC?

Third, I am considering making a catalog of all sentient species in Rowia, and I was wondering if that would be ok with the KC or not?

I'm waiting for someone (FO or otherwise) to do an updated active member count for the other factions. If someone wants to volunteer, please feel free. For tallying purposes, we are considering someone "active" if they have joined LCC or posted in their faction's thread within the last 6 months. Unfortunately, I just don't have time to do a count for all of the factions, so I could use some help (much like Bronx was kind enough to provide a few months ago).

As for outside islands / nations, RBC's city of Arondor was actually located on the small island that lies to the west of Loreos and Lenfad, so we didn't add anything there. A reference to traveling from a far away land is OK, but for now we would like to keep Roawia isolated for the most part, until the KC deems it necessary to introduce outsiders if it becomes necessary to spice things up a bit.

A catalog of races would be fine. Just make sure it is clear that this is your personal interpretation, and others are allowed to deviate from your suggestions if they so choose (ie, one man's trolls might be green, someone else's might be red or orange). We don't want people to think that your catalog is "official" and that they have to do things a certain way, since we've tried to leave this as wide open to people's imaginations as possible.

That would be great. You can post the results in the faction thread that you are counting for. If you could note the date of each active member's most recent comment, that would be a huge help. We could then input those dates into the spreadsheet I've created so that future updates are much faster.

I am not a member of Lenfald, or even the LCC for that matter, but I took some time to compile a list of your "active" members.

"Active" is based on a post and a build of some sort within the last six months by said member. The dates after each name is either the date of their last build submission, or their last comment (first date) and last build submission (second date).

To gather accurate information for the last six months, I viewed every post within this faction thread, as it only goes back five months. This should help anyone looking to verify my findings, should they choose to. This should also serve as a decent basis for anyone looking to find the original faction thread and check for members from February, for the complete six months.

So being new to the LCC I just want to clarify a few things. First, how does the global story line effect my story? With all of the faction rulers captured what is going on in the in the factions armies? Do the queens soldiers occupy al of the strongholds? And finally, when I went to the membership list of Garheim my character's name did not show up even though it show him of the character introduction thread.

I suggest reading through the global storyline summary to get caught up, If you haven't already.

The queens troops do occupy all of the major strongholds, but your army can still assemble at some secret hideout if you wish. Stay tuned after New Year's for the next development in the global story. Otherwise, you might think about showing your character avoiding the queens troops, planning with allies, Or something like that, for example.

Your name will be added to the Garheim Roster the next time scores are updated, which usually is done at least once a month.

Would the most recent comment be a comment anywhere on the forums or just in a LCC-related thread? I look forward to the New Year, I can't wait for any developments!

I'm limiting it to the most recent comment in your own faction's thread. It is too much work to hunt through all of the threads to see if someone has posted in the last 6 months.

My strategy is basically to start at the most recent post of the faction thread, and then work your way back until you hit 6 months, and once you have someone accounted for, you just skip over any of their older posts as you look for other recent members.

For example, if I posted in Garheim's thread yesterday, I'd make a note of that date, and then I would ignore any other posts by me as I started to work my way back 6 months, since my most recent post is already accounted for. Does that make sense?

Yeah, I get that. I should have time tonight, all of my tests/mock exams are out of the way (until the Christmas holidays are over!). Is there a full list of every faction member, or should I just write down the active ones?

Fellow Roawians. I kind of like leaving all members on their faction lists IF they have scored some points . That at least indicates their first [joining] MOC was completed. Maybe who ever is updating lists could PM members inactive for 6 months or more and ask if the're still interested ? If no response received within 4 weeks , demote them to an In active list somewhere on page one of the Faction Thread page ? If they recommence activity, they could be reslotted into the Members list with no points lost from earlier MOC's .
I see no point in having or adding people to a Faction Members List if they haven't completed their intro MOC [or have no points]. Let them build first , get points, then join our worthy ranks .
