I'm sure there are goblins and other such creatures in Roawia, so many of us have used them in our storylines!

I've gotta agree with Zach about he currency, on every point. I think it would be a point of loyalty to only use your faction's currency in your land, e.g. Erathor would only use Loreesi coins in Loreos. It would be fun to have more extra details like this be introduced :)

Hmmm, they might have been the last ones... If there are no goblins anymore then we must blame SSchmidt! ;)

In relation to the currency, I do think it is important we establish who has what as their currency. I don't think it's an important thing as far as progression of the story line, but it helps to have these little details ironed out so people can reference them in their storylines.

We were discussing this in the Garheim thread and I think we came up with the lupo, plural of which is lupi.

Haha Wolfgang! I think about the curency that we just use gold and gold coins. Its not really a currency but even now-a-days I think most people would accept gold :eyebrows: (If its legal :tasty: )

If gold and silver are not legitimate currencies than Caelan is in BIG TROUBLE when Wolfgang finds out!

Yeah, I just refer to them as coins, gold, silver, tokens, etc. But for those who want to flesh out the world, coming up with a faction specific coin would be nice.

As for the humanoids, I've used them too. Specifically Orcs, but I believe as long as they appear like humanoids (Orcs, Goblins, Dwarves, Cave dwellers, etc. ) and live in isolation for the most part, they'd be fine to include in your stories.

We had discussed having official currency for each faction a while back, and us Garhims had all but decided on using "Silver Wolvs" as ours; that is, until a certain werewolf bid us rethink that  I like that the world is kept open to interpretation, as much as I'd like my own story to be part of the official lore.

I am pretty sure that it was unofficially decided that Garheim has the lupus, lenfald has the drake or draken, loreos has the loreal, and outlaws used a combination of all three.

Hey guys, how do you all use other faction characters in your builds? Can you have other members of other factions in you builds? I assume to a certain extent, but at which point (if any) is too far?

Example, an outlaw goes into Loreesi territory, spots a couple of Loreesi soldiers, and he shoots an arrow at one of them. Is that sort of thing allowed, or no?

From what I understand, as long as you don't use someone else's actual character without their permission you can use members of other factions pretty much however you want. If this were simply about issues and builds focusing solely on your own faction and their members, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun. Having an outlaw attack soldiers of one faction or another sounds fine to me. I've seen quite a few excellent builds focusing on similar events. The only big thing you can't really do at this point is attack the soldiers of the queen, but that seems like it may be subject to change in the coming months....

David FNJ, I think Outlaws can kill all different people, but since the other three faction are at peace with each other I think most law abiding people (not outlaws :tasty: ) shouldn't kill anyone (Minus Outlaws). As for other sigfigs, I think you cannot use them without the owners permission :) .

Thanks guys! That helps!
So it looks like I can have the soldiers of the queen in my builds, but there can't be any contact with the queen's army and my character.

One other question (for anyone reading this). Is it alright if someone builds "flashbacks" from his character's history? Say, for example, my character remembers something in his early childhood, could I build a MOC of the flashback and use it as a freebuild (of course it wouldn't make sense for other challenges or guilds)?

You can get into fights with the Queen's Men, tie them up, etc., but no killing or maiming; any contact at all should be discrete. Our faction leaders are still her captives.

Hello, where are the leaders of Roawia being held by Galainir? I need to know to continue my story. Thanks to anyone who can answer. :)
