@ Medieval Guy - You can include your character in a minor way.

@ Mencot - Global challenges will only occur every other month, so the deadline will probably be over a month from the announcement date. Just so we have enough time to pick the winners from each faction and then allow for time for people to vote on the finalists in the main MOC forum.

oK the first Global challange is up, cool. I have to make a bigger scene of celebration, because I made one already. Avgard village feast.
But whats the size limitation and is there some rules on what one can build as long that it has the faction, colors and character?

Question about the Global Challenge: it mentioned carriages falling into Outlaw hands... since I'm an Outlaw, can I make a build of me celebrating with some of the food and gold in the carriage?

And about free points... would this qualify? http://www.flickr.com/photos/69426622@N05/6949789773/

Question about the first global challenge:

In my opinion the Royal Feast takes part in the castle of our king. Are we allowed to use the Royal Knights sigil for decoration?

Mencot - Well, since it's a feast, it should prominently feature food and drink and generally making merry. No size restrictions.

Owen - The idea about the outlaws celebrating with the stolen goods is exactly what we had in mind for them :)

Konze - The feasts should take place in your local village or castle, NOT in the King's castle. The idea is to spread the joy to the whole land, including the common people. Such commoners obviously wouldn't be invited to the King's own dining hall. He's generous, but not THAT generous! ;)

I have a though that has been popping up ever since I joined, but I was a little affraid to mention it :tasty: :

Which religions should Roawia have? It would be nice to include several different religions for the different factions. I raise the point because in those those days religion was (obviously) really important. I would also say that the known religions would not exist in Roawia. And because we have to build a cathedral for the Masons Guild it would be nice to have the appropriate theme to it, right? Well what do you guys think?

I think the introduction of religion would be a good thing. But I think there would have to be some restrictions to what the lore/ mythology would be based off. I'd prefer if religion was a part of the LCC, that it wouldn't be based on current/highly observed religions of today. It would cause a lot less problems in the long run if the stories weren't just ripped out of the Bible, Quran, Upanishads/Vendanta etc. Not only would it provide more creative interesting stories, but there would (hopefully) be a lot less flame wars and internet crusades. Just my input, take it or leave it :)

There are a lot of issues we have to consider regarding the inclusion of religion. I wouldn't mind seeing a fictional religion in Roawia, but if done wrong it can become a problem for some users as well as a violation of the Classic Castle TOS. Thus, let's take our time and do it right :)

About the cathedral for the Guilds, I think we can regard this as a "cathedral" in the very broadest sense of the word: A great hall used for various official ceremonies - not necessarily religious. That's my take on it, anyway.

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to make a post here to say how proud I am of the LCC and all it's members. I just went on the MOC forum, and realized that almost every MOC on there is LCC related right now.

This is exactly what we intended to do. We are taking over CC!

No, just kidding. ;) What we really wanted with this project was that it'd inspire you, the community, to build more and better. And you have. Just looking at what the Lenfel are building makes me very proud to be one, not to mention the great work coming from Garheim and Loreos, and af course the Outlaws. :) I'm truly amazed by how all of you are picking up on the story, working out your own countries and your own cultures and still making it one coherent project. :woo:

So yeah, just wanted to tell you guys that this project is going exactly how I imagined it. If you guys think there's anything wrong, let me or one of the members of the King's Council know. So far, I think it's been going great! :D

Leg Godt!

Teherean.

The idea to include religion is an interesting one. I would say that we should certainly steer clear of using real religions, but creating one for the LCC might be bad too. Some people could take offense. My suggestion would be that if you feel inclined to mention a religion in a MOC, don't make it very detailed. Keep its description vague, and try to avoid references to well-known religions from the real world. This is probably the best way to avoid hard feelings.

I have a quick announcement:
as you know I'm in charge of the signups thread and the score board that's posted there. now I can't keep track of ever member of every faction so when you go up a rank please PM me, this will make it much easier for me to keep the list up to date.

P.S. could those of you who have already achieved the rank of citizen PM me(I still don't know who you are)

Just to make this clear:

It is NOT allowed to kill another character without permission of that character's owner. Even if he/she is an outlaw.

No exceptions.

You should put an additional reminder now in the faq about this, when there has been some misuse and misunderstandings what one can do!
And also a link to the soon to be locked reminder topic: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21994
Btw the thread is still open so donĀ“t make any replies there as Teherean stated also, lets keep the discussion and questions here in this topic :)
Thanks

I have another announcement:
due to the fact that I have discovered keeping track of the score of every member of every faction is impossible I have decided to remove the ranks from the member list in the signups thread, but never fear! you can still see all the ranks in the faction threads :)
