The Brickset entries now contain high res images of the actual parts - rather than just coverart.
It is a Dragon :)

I'm sure the KC will consider this in their deliberations, but one thing to consider is that for new players coming to LCC raising armies from the old factions may become expensive, as the figures become progressively harder to find. To keep the game moving it might be a good idea to allocate at least some of any new mainline factions that do appear.

If it is felt that the Outlaws need a bump then the idea quoted below may be a way of doing that. As anyone suddenly getting (or re-getting) into castle this year is likely to have these guys, and as Loreos and Lenfald got the last two factions, Garheim and Outlaws getting these would seem fair.

I suppose against that is that it is nice to make your own men up, just using the colours as a guide.

Excellent points here. Perhaps the "good guys" from the new series could be mixed and matched with current faction colors, and the baddies could go to the Outlaws who align themselves with The Wicked Witch of the East. That way our ever-growing LCC can be populated without Brinklink stores taking everyone to the cleaners :D

Basically what Thomas Arrowford and First Infantry suggested is what we are considering.

Kingdoms figs (Lions and Dragons) are still readily available and quite affordable, thanks in no small part to the chess sets. Outlaws and Garhims are due for the next wave, so this works out nicely.

The new "bad guys" will likely be assigned as the "official" troops of the Witch Queen, and the "good guys" will go to Garheim.

Particularly for the outlaws, this will give people a chance to have their previously independent rouges enlist in the Queen's army if they'd like, which will provide a little more storyline-based options for those who prefer to become more involved in it. If they want to continue to fly solo as trouble-making renegades, that will of course be allowed as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My thoughts on the "magic infused" troops of the Witch Queen are that they aren't necessarily a bunch of spell-casting wizards and mages, but more like normal human troops who could be equipped with elementally-imbued weapons and armor, or something like that. Remember that magic doesn't work as effectively when traveling too far from the magic isles, so a largely spell-casting army wouldn't do so well in a mainland conflict.

This isn't an official position, by any means, but just my two-cents worth. :)

Hey guys!

I was looking over the history here and well...maybe its about time we start our own LCC wiki. Its free and most importantly will help us keep a history in proper order. At the same time we can all publish our Characters bios, cities bios, etc and link everything up nicely.

Here's a link. I will assume someone from the KC should probably take lead to start this and be the primary. ;)

http://www.wikia.com/Wikia

However...if we already have one...could someone send me an FM to direct me to it. ;)

Cheers & thanks,

Matt

Particularly when asking questions about something that might have already been covered, use of the "Search this Topic" (top right corner of this page) tool is encouraged ;)

With regards to the Wiki, the one we have isn't really being all that utilized because I think we decided that it would be best to keep everything "in-house" as much as possible. We already have stuff on Flickr and if we start utilizing a million different sites, the content starts to get to be hard to track down, particularly for newbies.

Hmm...I checked out the wiki and its actually pretty nice...although I do agree with keeping much of the content in house...however it can be a mass of difficulty to find stuff even with the search bar. For me the Wiki looked like a nice tool to explain things...but if we can do it well enough in house I don't mind that either. I suppose the only problem with a wiki is updating it when most come here for quick posts, etc. ;)

On an unrelated note:

Highlord Triphian I of Lenfald's Sigfig has changed design. This is to make him have more common parts then the original design because as of now I have seen five different attempts to recreate him. Here is the new design:

Image

You can use whatever different cape or headgear you want, but be sure to use black hair of he is going without a helm. His face should be kept as an expression face with no identifying hair/Beard etc. so that anyone can give him whatever expression they want. Here is an example of the type of face I mean.

...And he's still in charge of Lenfald and is not going anywhere. :D

I've already taken a liking to that guy. Looks down-on-the-ground, effective and honest like a real Lenfel. Nothing like those overly pompous dolls they call leaders down south

He looks like a leader who can't even afford proper armour, unlike our leaders down south ! :)

Let's not turn this into a(nother) bashing thread, but I'll let you know that no lord of Lenfald will pay for exquisite, purely decorative garb with money that could be used to help his people remove that ravaging stampede you call an army 8)

Allright guys! Let's cool off a little. ;)

A little sudden for a Leader fig change. :? But I guess this will be easier for everyone to build.

Your just miffed because the fig you used in your previous moc is now woefully inaccurate. :D Like I said, it is still the same person, just a different design.
