Lands of Classic Castle - Regional Admin Applications

Post by AK_Brickster »

Basically a "Regional Administrator" is the term I've come up with for the "leader" of each region. They will be responsible for generating and judging global and regional contests/challenges, keeping track of individual member stats such as overall "status" (ie, "score", if you will) and generally keeping the game on track.
If you just want to be a part of the game's ongoing development, don't worry, this is going to be very open to the community in terms of how the story progresses, and everyone will have a chance to climb the "ranks" through participation in contests and challenges, both globally and within your region.
If you want to be more of an overseer and less of a participant in the actual building community, that's what a Regional Administrator will do. Participation in contests/challenges will be more limited, and you're going to get stuck with a lot of organizational tasks. You may even have to come up with and send out physical prizes, paid for out of your own pocket. If that sounds fun to you, then keep reading. :)

Post a short paragraph here on why you want to be a regional admin. The current LCC developmental leadership team will determine how many spots will be available, and we'll nominate the top candidates, at which time there will be a community vote.
You might also include which faction you would like to lead.

"Red" - Grasslands
"Green" - Forests
"Blue" - Mountains / Snow
"Gold" - Swamps / Dark Forest
"Rebels" - No real official territory, other than a mystic island. This group is very magic heavy.

Thanks for your interest in this new project!

I would like to be considered as a regional admin for the Blue as I believe I am a fair person who would be judicious. I am in the position to spend a lot of time on the project as I am online 24/7 in work and I will be an active builder and plan to contribute a lot to the lore if possible.

Also I am Irish, end of discusssion right?

I'm not entirely sure what this term (regional admin) actually covers, but I assume it's about the same as a GoH Guild Master. Like an in-game "leader" of one of the factions? As we already have a separate, administrative leadership, I suppose that sounds very realistic?
If so, I'm probably interested in signing up, and application information will be added later.

EDIT: Thanks for the answer. For this project, I feel like I'm all in for "a lot of work"
So...
I apply to become regional administrator. I'd prefer it to be for the "green" faction, and rreferably not for the "rebel" faction. Regarding the paragraph, I want to become a regional administrator because I like this project and hope that I can by this way help keeping it rolling. If an administrator's "work" includes some of the writing of lore, stories, folktales et cetera, I can say that i have at least decent skills at this, despite my english probably being inferior to that of native speakers. On top of that, and probably as the most important part, I believe that I can be pretty active regarding the project, building things and, of course, keeping up with the work of making and running contests and events both in a certain faction and factions in-between. This part, too, includes any day to day administrative work of a faction.

I would like to apply to be the regional administrator for the rebel/bandit faction. I think I would be good for the job because I am a big fan of fantasy and know enough about it to lead the magical faction, I am very enthusiastic about the project and I have been and will continue to be active in the project

Just a side question. I have both a Falcon themed and a viking themed army. I assume that the falcons are blue and my vikings are rebels? Or could I enter my viking section with the "Green" forrest faction?

Vikings would be green in my books. Maybe we are limiting ourselves to too few colours? A brown faction could easily be added for vikings/bulls from kingdoms. They would be pirates and mercenaries

As I said before, we should keep banner colors common. We shouldn't include colors like brown, because for beginners these colors are hard to come by.

Your viking faction can go wherever they want. Just adapt them to fit the regional colors/style. Remember, you can only be a member of one region. Otherwise, how can we run competitions if everyone is switching back and forth all of the time? Or, your Falcons can be your main faction, and your builds can feature them battling with the rebel vikings. It's totally up to you. You just need to pick a standard to build under.

I don't want to add more regions at this time. We have 5 already, and we will be spread too thin if we try to go too big too fast.

Yes 5 is enough, you have to just fix them to work under the standard you are. The 5 faction have their diffrent colors, that are already given to work with, we´ll se when the map is choosen how it looks then.
They that are intrested to be regional admin, choose your color and apply.

Well, I would like to apply as Regional Administrator of the Red Faction. I feel I am very qualified for the task. I have been a member of the Classic Castle forum since November 1, 2011 and have been active ever since. I have an extensive knowledge of ancient/medieval history, having done a great deal of research and reading of source texts. I would be willing to donate prizes for contests and devote my time and energy to this project. I have a passion for LEGOs and making new creations, and can appreciate good creative skills. I enjoy creating interesting and intricate stories, and often replicate them into LEGO creations. I believe I would be a fair judge, unbiased and diplomatic.

Also i worked as a tour guide for four years so i know all about authenticity and architecture in the medieval landscape in europe. Just looked at this again, and I agree. Maybe later, when there's enough members, and if a group wants to set up their own faction, we can incooperate a war/rebellion/etcetera into the story that will explain the change.

Here's my official application to become the Blue Faction's Regional Admin.

My extensive knowledge of the medieval period, along with my creativity and passion for LEGO would make me a good Admin, I think. Also, I think I could come up with some interesting lore for our faction.
I will try to come up with building challenges that are accesible for everyone, even if you have a small collection. Creativity and talent always comes before size! :)

So, Here you go! :D
