Sure does! I am glad I didn't make a map as it would only look amateur compared to that

Sorry this is late. I didn't know about the Lands of Classic-Castle until today. I've gotten into the bad habit of only checking the forum once or twice a week. I can't believe I missed all of this activity! Now that all of this is going on, I'll have to check in once or twice a day... :D

Anyways, here is a very crude version of what I could make. The final draft would have forests, rivers, foothills, and maybe even dots to represent towns.

Any feedback is always appreciated.

[EDIT] Once I started reading the threads about the project, I noticed many people mentioning "uninhabited" areas. Sorry I didn't include one in this submission--I didn't read about them until after I made the map.

I think this is perfect. My only comment is that I would like some areas with a lot of islands. There were more in your first editoin.

Thanks, and I agree. I ran out of time but I wanted to add a bucnh of small islands that could be used later in the game. If my map get chosen I will add them in.

I just saw this great subproject at GoH, and thought my interactive map would fit very well here: http://bentoft.dk/lego/albion/

It would be cool with a map where you could click into next level of the map. Something like: Overall map -> region -> city/area -> moc

This is really cool, Bentoft!
The only reason I see that something like this would be difficult is just keeping up with the sheer quantity of MOCs that will be generated.
One idea I've come up with to combat that would be to only post MOCs on the map that are contest winners or some other qualifier like that.
Just my 2 cents worth :)

Here is the next version of the LCC map I am working on. It incorporates suggestions and comments from both the project leaders and the forum members:

much, much larger version:

Please let me know what you think as this is still a WIP. Thanks!

I love the way you incorporated various climates into this map. Red has forest, mountains, and a desert, and green has forests, montains, and arctic areas. Very good.

Great map shmails! I like where you placed the desert. And I also like that there's lots more room for expansion! :D

yes great map shmails, you have made it great. What I still like to see, like a commented in your flickr, some Darklands lets say in the northwest corner of the map, with black mountains, volcanos and rough terrain there no vegetation grows. I remeber somebody else liked that on my mapdraft. If you go to my flickrpage, you can find your map there with that area as an example how it could look like :).
How many else would like this kind of terrain, darklands?

Thanks for the input. I am hesitant to put a volcano in the forestmen's region. I made the northern artic region for that kind of thing. I did not add a volcano, but that can be easily fixed. That area will provide a region for quests and other missions without having to invade anothers land. If others want that area on the mainland, I will look into where to put it. Thanks again.
