Re: lands of classic castle map making
Just to clarify, I am not saying this at all. I designed a map that people liked, and I have handed it over to Wobnam to finish. Too many suggestions can muddle the process, so i am letting the committe finalize the look. I do not have the time to help anymore than that. It has nothing to do with the committe or anything they are doing. I see nothing malicious or mean in anything they are doing. If a suggestion gets missed, it has more to do with excitement over another idea than anything else.

Re: lands of classic castle map making
I don't think anyone's toes are being stepped on
You guys are, understandably, getting a little antsy, and we realize that. We have been hesitant to release little bits of information here and there in an attempt to avoid confusion as ideas adapt and change.
We have been trying to do as little storyline development as possible and are mainly just hashing out details about organizational stuff and very general regional characteristics. We came into this wanting it to be as organic and open to the community as possible, and we're still trying to stick with that.
If anyone feels that their ideas have been blown off, I can assure you that it isn't intentional. We'll try to get everything we've been working on wrapped up and posted on the forums soon

Does the lack of comments on the last one I posted mean everyone is ok with it? Talking about this one.

Re: lands of classic castle map making

Yea thats a good map.
And in the future we see something mssing or something that have to be changed ofcourse it can be change, right.

It looks a lot like Westeros
Re: lands of classic castle map making
Comparing your last map with your previous one, it's definitely an improvement. With the previous one I thought the desert was oddly placed and outrageous large at the cost of richer grasslands. With your last one I'm very satisfied.
There's only one -minor- thing that I miss, looking at shmails' last map: the unknown continent of which the coast is tempting in the far west. But the desert area is better situated now and I like the arctic region also better than on shmails' last map.
So I could very well live with this map, yes, I could live in it. On it. Whatever. The unknown continent is for the comittee to decide. If it fits with the rest of the ideas, why not have it. If it doesn't fit, oh well, no harm done, nor any disappointment from my side. All water under the bridge.
It's more important now to make the necessary decisions than again coming up with new ideas. We need a common base. The misunderstandings have already started to spread. Because there hasn't been an official announcements topic so far, some have missed the in-between-decision to fuse gold and rebels and the latter in-between-decision to relabel 'gold' as 'black'. That confuses those who come up with ideas, who try to give a sound comment on maps drawn and redrawn, and those who are trying to make their minds up in what faction they fit best. Updates, even changes of plan, when placed in an official announcements topic would clarify things I believe. I don't want to be hasty, but tarry neither.
