Re: Lands of Classic Castle map draft voting
I voted for Wobnam's map, but Shmail's would have got my vote if there had been more room for expansion. Both are really good.
Re: Lands of Classic Castle map draft voting
If you want to discuss factions, you should go to the general discussion thread - let's keep this one about the map drafts.

Re: Lands of Classic Castle map draft voting
Something I would like to see in the final map would be some sort of landmass that leaves room for expansion that is mostly off-camera, like what mencot had in his entry with his "eastern border lands". If shmails map wins, I would like to see more islands in the bays similar to wobnam's map.

Re: Lands of Classic Castle map draft voting
I remember voting earlier, and now the thread shows that I still have the option of voting.
I don't know if my original vote didn't register, or if there is a forum glitch. In any event, I won't vote again, just in case my original vote did actually register.
Still, that's kind of weird....

Don't worry SIr Zep, your vote has registered but you are allowed to change it as long as the poll is open

Re: Lands of Classic Castle map draft voting
I do not know about the others, but my map was designed to be pretty large. Each region is a land unto themselves that can be inhabited without filling the land.

I think shmails should had a river that flows into the ocean the way Wobman did. That way, the field near the river would be irrigated and there will still have place for a desert around it. ( I'm thinking of the Nil in Egypt as an example ).
That was my two cents.

Re: Lands of Classic Castle map draft voting
Since the voting is so close, I'd suggest that whoever the 2 votes are that are NOT for either shmails or wobnam should change their vote to one of the two front-runners. No use in wasting your vote on one that isn't going to be selected, so you might as well choose your favorite between the two leaders.
Re: Lands of Classic Castle map draft voting
Though I'm not with the majority in considering either Wobnam's or Shmails' map best, I don't consider my vote wasted, dear Sir. And I won't change my opinion about the most useful map. If a man can't think for himself, he's not better than a sheep. And that goes for a woman too. (Pity I haven't seen them yet around here. It would maybe dampen the war cries a bit. )
However, if you wish my opinion upon these two maps, you can read it in my earlier, somewhat longer post in this very same thread.

Re: Lands of Classic Castle map draft voting
Perhaps I should have said "no point in casting your vote for a map that won't be selected" instead
My point was simply that one of those two maps is (barring a miracle ) going to be the selected, so if you have a preference between those two, you may as well vote for one of the two. Just meant to be a friendly suggestion
