We know that it might not exactly be what you, specifically, envisioned, but we tried to leave it as open to development as possible so that it can grow and develop as we start to put it into motion.
Thanks to everyone for your support, contributions, and enthusiasm, and hopefully the "Lands of Classic Castle" will become everything you've imagined and more!
Stay tuned as we get ready to launch the lore submissions thread as well as the "Guilds of LCC" feature, which I think you'll really enjoy.
Thanks,

AK_Brickster wrote:I think that there is still TONS of room to come up with your own story for the lore submission thread.
Examples:
How did the land start?
How did the king come to power, and what is his relationship with the 4 factions?
What is the relationship among the factions themselves? Do they want to overthrow the King? Is there only one who does? Do they hate each other or are they peaceful?
Why is magic generally frowned upon in the land? Was there a conflict in the past?
And this is just what I was able to come up with in about 30 seconds
Also, a big advantage of having a King who belongs to no province is that it puts all of the factions on equal footing as the game begins. Who will rise in power to possibly take the throne? We'll have to start playing to find out!

I think that what was intended was for the "reserved" sigils to be used for those factions specified ONLY. Any sigil not specifically mentioned can really be used for any of the factions, I think. Although you'd probably want to use one that fits the color palette of your faction. (ie, Green KK2 or HP "Slytherin" would make most sense for Lenfald.)

The only solution I can think of to make this fair is to make the number of people in each group fairly equal. While this may be a bit unrealistic, it's the all I can think of.

Just search "viking architecture" on google images to see what I mean. I think Garheim will have to be allowed to use wood, because it is such an essential material. Maybe their territory could be extended farther south to allow for more lumber to be harvested by them?

Garheim is mainly a mountainous region, so it only makes sense that they would mainly depend on stone as a building material. Also remember that the map does not show every detail, there could there could be large expanses of pine forest in between the mountains or by the shore. We want to give the members as much freedom as possible, while still making sense for the landscape.
