You'll be signed up once you submit your first apprentice MOC. Lookin forward to it!

Also to the other recent entries, I'll update the submissions list in a couple of days, as I'm away from my computer and it's just too difficult to do with my phone. Looking really great, everyone!

LCC - Heroes Guild - Apprentice 3 - Bandits on the way to Rothburg

After the incident with the water Kroth Stonegrinder was very focused on understanding the movements and actions of Agmund the Wise. Not being an expert in stealth or subtlety Kroth was almost always noticed by Agmund and often by others in the castle as well. It was after one of these events that Lord Aldolpus ordered Kroth to explain himself. Upon hearing that Agmund only needed a small amount of the river water to add to the potion that he had already put together, Lord Aldolpus thought that Kroth was tired and over-worked and just needed a little time to cool off. That afternoon when then messenger arrived from Jhirain Eindrik announcing the coast-to-coast dog sled race Lord Aldolpus knew that fate was smiling on him. The next morning Kroth and his squire Lanseril Snowmantle would be heading east to represent Havenhill in the race.

Kroth knew better than to argue with Lord Aldolpus and Kroth just hoped that his gut was wrong this time. As Kroth and Lanseril rode away from Havenhill, Kroth looked back with a quick feeling of dread. After a few miles the knot in his stomach began to loosen and Kroth almost started to believe that he had imagined everything. They followed the same trail that Kroth would be sledding on in a few days, just in the opposite direction.

At the end of the first day, Lanseril started to make camp and Kroth started to gather some firewood. Just a short way from the trail, Kroth came across three orcs that were planning on using this spot to kill travelers to the race and with some luck some of the racers themselves. Focusing his inner rage, Kroth managed to dispatch the three before they could harm Lanseril, who had managed to keep his horse between himself and the orcs on the hill.

The seed idea for this MOC came to me when watching a scene from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and the line was "Looks like a few Tusken Raiders are camped out on the Canyon Dune Turn . . ."

Entries updated. Congrats to Gurusql on reaching the rank of "Apprentice"! I'm planning on making a banner for your signature, but I haven't been able to get around to it yet. You can start displaying the Heroes Guild Apprentice Standard in your MOCs now, however :eyebrows:

LCC-Mages Guild-A2 - Studying demons

Apprentice –3 MOCs:
2) Your mage at his place of training (could be a secret hideout or hidden room. Remember that magic is generally frowned upon!)

After Svea realized that she has magic skills she didn't know how to handle these. But a lot bigger problem was Svea couldn't ask anyone because magic is frowned upon in whole Roawia.
Svea decided to train her skills so that she can control her magic abilities. Near to the city of Mikithdar is a little forest where Svea and her Brother played in their childhood. Svea is very familiar to this forest and knows almost every hideout. Svea began to read a lot of spell books and tried to use some of the spells in one of these hideouts. Svea was fascinated by demon and how she can fight against them.

LCC - Heroes Guild - Journeyman 1 - Havenhill in Ruin

Kroth Stonegrinder was riding through wilds of Garhiem and as he got closer and closer to Havenhill, the knot that had been in his stomach returned. Kroth urged Lanseril on and two picked up the pace. As they got within a few miles of town, Kroth noticed a black smoke was rising from the town. Not liking the look of this two continued on and soon ran across a pair of soldiers, one wounded and one not making their way together away from Havenhill. Kroth stopped them and ask what was happening.

The unwounded solider gently helped his wounded companion to the ground and began to describe to horrors of the town. He told of how a giant serpent under the control of Agmund the Wise as well as a large force of orcs had attacked Havenhill. The serpent broken down the main gates and the entire town was under siege.

Kroth ordered the unwounded solider to return with him and told Lanseril to stay with the wounded man. As the two approached the castle, they found four other soldiers to join the cause to return to save the town.
When the small band made to the town gates, they found the gates destroyed and the town on fire. They had a short battle with eight orcs that did not think that they would be encountering any more resistance and were leaving the town with some of it treasures. With the orcs all dead as well as three of his men, the remaining force entered Havenhill. It was clear that chaos was the only ruler in the town from when they first entered. Kroth organized everyone that he could, soldiers, shopkeepers and farmers to work on putting out the fires. Though it seem impossible when Kroth arrived within a few hours, all of the fires except the those in the tower gates had been put out and those were at least contained. Assessing the damage, Kroth discovered Lord Aldolpus and his wife had been killed when Agmund the Wise and his serpent crashed into the inner keep. In addition, it appears that Folkvar one of Kroth two lieutenants had been in the tower gate when the fire began and he has not been seen since. There were mixed accounts about the abilities of the serpent, some said that it was breathing fire, but regardless it was clear that Kroth had been right about Agmund and now he needed to avenge his Lord. With large parts of the town in ruin and the Lord dead everyone was looking for Kroth to lead the town and to keep them safe.

With the town in at least state of relative calm, Kroth organized a perimeter guard and then send a pair of riders out to Jahrton and another pair to Mikithdar requesting any aid they could send. Kroth then sat down with his two surviving senior officers to talk about how to run the town in the short term. Beryl Tourmaline had taught him all of his organizational skills a child since he raised him after the death of this father, so Kroth asked Beryl to act as the chief administrator handling the needs of the citizens and his other lieutenant, Logmadr he asked to act as the captain of the guard. When Beryl heard this he asked what Kroth had in mind, but as soon as the question had passed his lips it was clear that Kroth would be going after the Agmund.

After some time working on my Masons Guild A3 build I am nearing completion... but I have oh so many other ideas for the other guilds, and it seems choosing to become a mason as the first guild was a really bad idea, as the builds generally take forever to complete...

May I suggest a change to the rules so you can apply to 2 guilds at the same time without having to reach Journeyman in one, as this will take a long time (and there is hardly any guild activity now as it is)... my proposal would be that any character may apply to one peaceful (masons, merchants) and one fighting (heroes, mages) guild at the same time and progress through the ranks independently. This would allow for the masons to take their time with the big MOCS, but would allow for more story-driven (smaller) builds from the other guilds at the same time.

I for one have many ideas for the other guilds and I wouldn't want to waste them on freebuilds, while I'm still working on my larger Masons Guild MOCs.

Does that make any sense?

EDIT: On further reflection, I don't want to limit anyone's storytelling ability, so you will be allowed to mix/match any 2 guilds for simultaneous completion. The "1 peaceful guild at a time, 1 conflict guild at a time" idea posted below is now out. The change allowing members to start a second guild after they reach "Apprentice" in their first one still will be implemented though.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think those are fair points, Mitah.

I will change the rules so that you only have to reach the rank of "Apprentice" in your first guild before starting with your second, and that you can only be a member of 1 peaceful guild (Merchants or Masons) and one conflict guild (Mages or Heroes) at a time.

The key will be how well you can weave a story about your character that involves both guilds without conflicting between the two stories.

Thanks for your contributions everyone. I'm really enjoying the stories and, of course, the MOCs!
