Re: LCC Guild Hall - Information and Submission Thread
Yes, please post your Guild MOCs similar to the faction MOCs you've been doing to this point. A thumbnail here in the guild hall along with what guild it is for, and specifically which build it is (IE, Apprentice build #1, Master build #2, etc).
This should then link to your post in the MOC forum.
Remember that the guild hall is about showcasing your ability, not cranking out points, so be sure to put plenty of time and thought into your MOCs!
Lastly, congrats to you and Eklund for being the first to reach the rank of "Citizen" and qualify to join the guild!

Re: LCC Guild Hall - Information and Submission Thread
I'd like to emphasize this; although there are a fair number of guild challenges, they are not - unlike other LCC builds like challenges and free builds - infinite. So take your time, and remember that once you have finished a guild challenge, it will forever stand as part of your way to a particular guild rank. Something to think aboutAK_Brickster wrote:Remember that the guild hall is about showcasing your ability, not cranking out points, so be sure to put plenty of time and thought into your MOCs!

Do you think I could join the merchant's guild?
You've got to ask yourself one question,"Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya, punk?

The moment you've reached "Citizen" rank in any one of the factions, you can join whichever guild you likekrzyzak wrote:Do you think I could join the merchant's guild?

Re: LCC Guild Hall - Information and Submission Thread
Are you going to make a list to say who is in which guild?
Like the one with factions, so we can choose on which needs more people, who's in one, what kind of people it draws in.
Things like that.

Re: LCC Guild Hall - Information and Submission Thread
Nope. They don't compete against each other, so no need to keep membership balanced.
Just pick the one that you think sounds like the most fun or that you think you have adequate bricks to build quality entries, and start working on your Apprentice #1 MOC. Take your time, as has been mentioned before. Quality is better than quantity

Re: LCC Guild Hall - Information and Submission Thread
Okay, one or two more questions;
-Do Guild entries Count as free builds and get you 2 points?
-Do you gain a rank when you post your First Guild Entry, or do you have to wait until you have completed all three tasks?
-How many entries can you submit a month? 1? 2? 4?
Thanks!!

Re: LCC Guild Hall - Information and Submission Thread
Q1: The second post still reads applications are closed, when will we be able to submit entries since I'm about to reach citizen status and there are already a few citizens out there
Q2: For entry into the Masons Guild, since we need to show progress of a building, do we have to build 3 separate MOCS, or 3 stages of the same MOC (build to a stage, document, proceed to next stage, ...) This would essentially mean building three MOCS that look mostly alike...

Guild entries do NOT count as free builds. They count as guild builds, and there is a separate point system for them. I would have to re-visit the first post to see if I've laid it out there, but you'll get a point or two for apprentice builds, two or three points for journeyman builds, and four or five for master builds. I will be sure to add that info to the first post if it isn't there already.
You gain a rank after you have completed ALL entries for each level. After you submit your first apprentice MOC, you'll get the title of "applicant". After your last apprentice MOC, you'll get the "apprentice" title. And so on and so forth.
I believe the first post says you can only submit 2 builds per month. I want to make sure that people are taking their time to make these the best MOCs you've ever built. You may even think about rebuilding sections that you feel need improvement before submitting. It's a time-intensive task, but often well worth it.

I will be sure to open the membership to the guilds. Thanks for pointing that out. I just had it as "closed" earlier because nobody had reached "Citizen" yet.
For the Mason's guild, it should be 3 different MOCs. You can certainly use MOC#1 in MOC#2 and MOC#3, but the idea was that MOC 1 would show planning, laying out foundation, etc. MOC 2 would show it under construction, maybe with some sort of scaffolding, or something. MOC 3 would show the finished or nearly finished structure. You should also have figures working on the project. I don't just want to see 2 WIP pics and a final pic. Each should be it's own complete scene. I hope that helps clarify what I'm looking for.
Thanks for the questions, everyone. I'm looking forward to getting this part of the project going, because I know a lot of people are excited about it.

Re: LCC Guild Hall - Information and Submission Thread
Yes, as long as you've reached "Citizen" status. You should create a thread in the MOC forum and provide a link and picture here, so that people can discuss the MOC somewhere other than in the guild hall, similar to what we've been asking people to do for other LCC MOCs. The preferred naming convention for your MOC forum post is detailed in the guild guidelines above.
Thanks!
Thanks!

LCC - Masons Guild - A1 - New Fortifications
Because of constant growth of the city of Karemdhâron and repeated attacks from animals, savages and wild men from the sea the lord has ordered the outer palisades to be razed - a new gate and stone wall will take it's place to keep the western part of the city save from the Wandering Woods... and everything that lives in there (except maybe elves).
There are rumours among the peasants that the lord commissioned dwarves to build a secret weapon to keep the city safe from the larger predators running free at night.

LCC - Masons Guild - A2 - New Fortifications
Construction of the new gate and wall progresses as planned - until full completion a provisional palisade line has been erected.
