Donald some great LC suggestions!
I like the race across the desert idea!
The Prince of Persia sets were full of tan, that's where I got most of mine, other then that discontinued line, I'd say PotC arts have some, the fountain one, I'm not to sure of its name.

I got out of my dark age right around when the PoP line was going out ... those sets seem to line up perfectly with the Loresi style Admin was going for. Thats why I went with a settlement in the north east, on the backside of the mountains & near the Lenfald border. Allowed for more of a medieval feel ...

Looking at current sets ... the Orc Forge looks promising & I am half tempted to pick up the Friends Summer Rriding Camp because of all the dark tan facade bricks (but i can't justify $100 for good bricks).

Mark!!!(say it like you would for Kahn for any Trek fans) Tell us what the next move is ... those teaser vingettes are killing me !

DONALD13 wrote:@ Buurli ... those tan bricks, were they purchased via BL or did you get them via new sets. If they are new sets, I'm happy to take suggestions for which ones to pick up as I have a large lego collection, but my natural color(tans, browns, dark tans ...) selection is limited.
Don D
I got them on bricklink, a store, which was already one of the cheapest had 20% discount, so I paid 3 cents for a dark tan 1x2 tile 8) , 1 cent for 1x1 trans green tile 8) and got a ton of 1xX tan plates + 200 tan round plates.

I am pleased to announce the 6th local challenge for the faction of Loreos.
“The Loreesi Shipbuilding challenge”
Build a ship or boat, and show your character putting it to use, whether it's a war galley, trade cog, fishing boat, or any other type of vessel capable of holding two men or more. Building a port or a scene for your boat is encouraged, but optional.
The deadline for entering is the 30th of September.
The contest will be judged by the FO and FL.
No megablocks or “Clone” brands.
The winner will receive 10 personal points.
Please post your entries here and if you want to, you can post in the MOC index as well.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Get building! :D

Hey Mark/Hayden, great contest idea. I do have one question though, when's the deadline?

I'm a little late on the scene, but I send my apologies to Thomas for the sword has no power. I was hoping it would fall into the wrong hands actually  Oh, don't mind me either, I tend to read all of the factions threads, to keep tabs on everyone.

Loreos Free Build

Post by Peter de Yeule »

Hi everybody. It's been a long time since I've built something in the castle theme. Even if I don't comment a lot, I tried to stay aware of what you guys are building and I am very impressed by the quantity :o and most important, the quality  of the MOCS that are build for the LCC project. Less talk, more bricks, here's my MOC:

Image

It's a small outpost located in the western desert of Loreos. My hero, Ashab, started his own import-export buisiness and have a contract with the Loreesi army to supply the troops that are based in the desert with food and equipement. He was fired by his last boss after a fight in an tavern :? ... a weird story about a woman and too much beer, wine etc... So he have his own caravan and travels through the desert...for now... :raiseone:

Oh, more pics here http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/340345

Thanks for watching...

Wow it's been so long since I posted here and for that matter on CC...
Been busy so haven't had much time to build much but I might be able to build something for the ship contest even though I don't have much for building ships.
So anyways just wanted to check in and see what was up and hopefully I'll get more time to build in the near future :D
