That's cool mencot! having a residence near the city is a very good idea. :)

AK Wrote this...
"...And we want to make sure that you guys are aware that nobody "owns" the major cities/locations. Everyone should be allowed to build within them and or reference them. If you want a specific location that is "hands off", it should be smaller and less important to the region's storyline."

This of course does not mean we can't create cities where we would like them, and give them our own names. But our characters can not own them, just live (Play/Build) inside them. After all the Prince is the one who should have control over the land and cities. Right? :) Also, Say a new member comes along. We won't be able to give every new person a city of his/her own, so we'll have to make the cities so everyone can use them. :)

Does this make sense?

Yeah it makes sense, for example I envisioned Duskspire Palace (the Princess' home) as a place for traveling nobles that would also have more permanent residents rather than just her. Our characters could be the 'governors' of their hometown for lore references and the person who's in charge of the character could provide the general, basic outline for the location but I think it's only normal to keep it so anyone can MOC anything :) I think new members could just put their character in any city they wish; since it's not so important who governs what, they're not really missing out on something. They could always have a small personal residence somewhere, like knights used to.

It good you've made sure everyone can understand this, mark, but just to reinforce the point,
The cities are your characters homes and headquarters, but while they may have a governing body on it, you can not bar members from building in it or to let them become a resident there.

Thanks and remember

It's pretty clear for me. When I told about "my" city, I didn't want to say that Neal is a leader. He just lives there. :)
I don't even want to rule a city, :roflol: Lot's of trouble IMHO.

Speaking of it, here is a preview of my Loreesi army. It's almost done, tomorrow I'll take some photos.
One thing I can say: it's not huge, but this army can defend Salus for a very long time siege. :eyebrows:

I'll post all the pictures tomorrow!
See you guys and Glory for Loreos!

BTW: where can we see our points? I guess I have 5 points from my CIC and will now earn 2 points for the knights? Is there a list somewhere?

I've got another question for Mark or Hayden: can I plan the city of Salus? Like the architecture stuff? I have a few ideias and want to start the building.
And since it's located in the grasslands in the east, I can abuse the green foliage, right?

@Pedro, of course you can plan your city, then maybe you could build some of the buildings out of lego?

@Bentoft, each member who has entered will get 2 points, the winner will get 5 points and a title, Champion of the Joust, along with a banner to present it, I will be keeping track of members an there points in my first comment, Mark may want to do the same.

Here is just my comment from flickr - guess it belongs here:
I think we should name the big lake, the desert (maybe two deserts), our islands, some of the mountain areas and maybe the big grass area.

Yes thats a good idea
The east grassland has I stated in the note on flickr and here on CC could be named Idail Grassland
mencot wrote: One major town could be "East Stowburn", located in the northeast "Idail Grassland" next to the big mountain.
Here is some backstory for the town:
"East Stowburn" a rich city located in the fertile grasslands and being next to the east sea is the home of the merchants and wealthy familys of Loreos. They have a rich agriculture and the second biggest harbour is located in Stowburn, so they have a great supply of riches from the sea and a way to import and export goods. But what has made Stowburn rich and famous is not fishing and farming (something that the people of Stowburn nowdays despise and look down on, saying it is work for the poor)no, the handcraft of goldobjects and gemcutters make the people of Stowburn proud. The gold and precious gem are found in the mines located in the near mountains to the north and this is the only place in Loreos where we can find mines.
@Mattiusxavier great looking figs for Joust :)

Thanks friend! :)

Also I believe on the map we have two locations for mines. The Mountains of the East (Gold + Gems) the Mountains of the West (Iron, etc). ;)

Yes we have two mines now, but an iron mine is also an good idea and we have many mountains in Loreos land so it could be possible :D

Yesterday I was thinking about the horses. Yes, because we are a nation of breeders right?
Eacg location should have a strong race, a race made for work in the farming, an untamable race, etc.
For example, in the eastern grassland are 3 major races: the white horses, the docile ones, easy to tame and very useful in agriculture, military, etc. These are the most used ones. The red ones (reddish brown, brown, brown and white) are the natives, a little harder to control than the white one, they have more "pride" (am I using the word correctly?). And the black ones, the savage ones, very hard to ride. Only the best riders can use them, including all the Skuda people. (what do you think Cuahchic?).

Perhaps in onther part of Loreos, there are different races, this is just a general ideia.
What do you all think?
