Loreos - Local Challenge 12 (LC12) "Wife Needed"
Story:
As Prince Jarius met with the High Council of Nobles of Loreos over the outcome of the war, he found himself swayed with the happy tidings that even during the war many of his fellow peers had found love. As he discussed in detail the happy tidings from Consul Arturius who was soon to become a doting grandfather, the Prince came to this silent realization for his own life. Not only with the near loss of his darling nephew Mark to Lenfald and the jeers by the other members of the Council regarding the Prince's often outbursts, the Prince understood now more than ever that his actions are mostly related to the loneliness he feels inside. He has no heir apparent directly from his personage for the throne of Loreos outside of his nephew and most disheartening he nearly lost him in the Quest to defend his people's honor. So following the meeting the Prince crept into his bed chamber to write a letter to attract a potential wife which went as follows:

"Lonely and powerful bachelor Prince seeks companion: She must be able to fight off hordes of outlaws in a single bout while cooking supper, likes long walks along sandy shores after defeating her enemies at the same time not even breaking a finger nail and enjoys the company of horses because she knows she is more beautiful than the finest destriers in the land. If you meet any of these characteristics please visit the Royal Palace or Loreos"

As he finished the letter...the Prince mumbled to himself and then crumpled it and threw it away into the corner realizing he was just being silly. As he fell fast asleep his nephew Mark crept into the room to check in on his uncle and give him some news regarding the recent arrival of a new "would be Queen"...as he found his uncle fast asleep he decided to depart the room, as he did, he spied the crushed parchment in the corner and grasped it quickly for a fast read. To his surprise he chuckled to himself.

The following day the Prince got up bright and early, he realized after the rousing council the day before that many of his nobles were hurt by the quick turn around of the lands back to Lenfald in several areas and decided the best way with advice from his nephew Mark and good friend Consul Arturius was to hold a jousting tournament. As they discussed this matter, the details were hashed out that they would hold the tournament near the Jewel of the North "Morastius-Renu" and the winner would win the opportunity to go on a much prized field day of hunting with the Prince himself. As they prepared the plans, dispatches were sent out to the many realms of Loreos. Of course Mark who still had the letter sent out a modified dispatch with the help of the Consul which read as follows.

"HERE YE! HERE YE! THE NOBLE PRINCE JARIUS OF LOREOS HAS BEQUESTED ALL NOBLES AND KNIGHTS OF LOREOS TO ATTEND A SPECIAL JOUSTING TOURNAMENT IN THE BRAVE HONOR OF OUR WARRIORS! THIS TOURNAMENT IS TO BE HELD AT MORASTIUS-RENU! FOR YE OF NOBLE BLOOD OR KNIGHTHOOD BE OF MAIDEN'S MOST FAIR AND TRUE TO FIGHT ONLY FOR A CHANCE AT THE HAND OF A PRINCE"

Reading this many of the Nobles of the lands and Knights realized that daughters, sisters alike who like most Loreesi are trained to be warriors firm and true have this fabled chance to win the hand of a Prince planned dutifully to send their bravest and most beautiful to the tournament. With special lettering from Mark that only the victor shall be unmasked and revealed as a woman.

So here is the challenge:
You are to build a VIG, MOC or simple Fig scene showing your noble character with a female Knight he is sending to the Jousting Tournament. Remember they should be above all fitting of the original characteristics the Prince sought for. The scene if you make one should be showing your character and the Female Knight making their way or departing from your noble home towards the green lands of Morastia. (no size limit for your scene)

All entries earn 3 points.

The Winner earns an additional 3 points and title “Femme Fatale of Loreos” she will also be featured in a hunting scene with the Prince and of course wins the title of becoming the future bride.

Period for closing of the LC = August 24th. Have your entries in by then!

I've redone my LCC SigFig-


He'll be attending the new Queen's coronation-

With the gifts of Loreesi Ale and Gulpik Gin, Camel Steak, Ostrich Leg , and a weird bread product called a 'Pretzel', and some delicacies from the more tribal regions.

My entry into LC12-

LC12 - Loreos Champion on the Dunes
After Hayden had returned from his trading travels, and had built his watch towers in the Outlook project, he returned to his home province, The Great Eastern Dunes. Here, he heard of the latest challenge his Prince had issued. After sighing, after all he has had no rest in between obeying his prince's challenges.
He met with the Provinces Premier, and was told to escort the Female Champion of the Dunes, Duress Liael, to the Prince's jousting tournament, where the winner go gos to marry the Prince. So Hayden, found his old friend, and veteran of their Garheim Travels, Captain Marcus, then rounded up his men, and set of.

The Champion herself- Duress Liael, sister of Hayden, is the reigning female champion in the Great Eastern Dunes, the largest province in Loreos, and is the desert heart.She has won 17 consecutive melees, and 11 tournaments. She is also known to make a bang-up camel stake meal.

Very nice build man!

Here's my latest "fun" build for Loreos!

LCC:Loreos First Command!



Backstory:


The rays of the hot afternoon Loreesi sun beat down on the heads of the men in the Mor-Reni courtyard.

"Men of Fangroth and Morastius-Renu! I gather you here this day, to witness the promotion of a new commander, Tiberius Xavier!" Tathann called out, as a guard handed him a long object wraped in red velvet.

Tathann carefully unwrapped it to reveal a shimmering silver Mor-Reni broadsword.

Holding it out to Tiberius, Tathann proclaimed aloud.

"No longer shall you wield a Mor-Reni shortsword, the weapon of a soldier, but today and every day after, you shall wield the sword of a Mor-Reni Commander, your very own broadsword!"

There was a moment of silence, before Tathann continued to speak.

"Now, Rise, Tiberius Xavier, commander of the 7th Legion of Morastius-Renu! "

A great shout went up from the soldiers and noblemen of Fangroth as Tiberius rose and took hold of his new sword.

Tiberius and Tathann embraced for a long moment before Tathann spoke.

"Tiberius Xaver, as a commander of Morastius-Renu, I will now issue your first command. Your father has asked that you take the 7th Legion and lead a small assault on my city of Fangroth. As you know, my former commanding officer, Malcus, has seized control of the city and hold Duke Telmonn prisoner somewhere. It is your job to infiltrate the city and rescue Telmonn! I must now go speak with your father, but I leave 100 horsemen and the entire 7th Legion of Morastius-Renu at your command!"

"I accept my first commander Lord Tathann!" Tiberius answered confidently.

"Very well, go and prepare your men, you leave at dawn in two days time!" Tathann exclaimed.

As Tiberius and the 7th Legion began to make their way out of the courtyard, Festus turned to speak with Tathann.

"Tathann I must be off to the Queen's banquet."

"Indeed. Take General Tamar, Nathaniel and a few of my best men with you for protection." Tathann responded.

Festus then turned and beckoning to Tamar and Nathaniel to follow the three of them also left the courtyard.

"Come master Tarukk, it is time to meet Consul Arturius and the others in the War Rom of Morastius-Renu!" Tathann declared as Tathann and General Tarukk left the courtyard.
