Hey guys,
Here it is, I present to you Loreos LC IX: Strengthening Our Borders:
For years the people of the Inner Provinces of Roawia have been at peace. Loreesi could travel freely across the Lenfald and Garhiem borders without any fear of attack by the inhabitants of that land. Although they have not always been friends at times, they have been allies, sharing a common enemy, the Outlaws. Now things have changed. With the Conquest to the Isle of Lost Souls ending in chaos and all the factions in opposition to each other, no can be trusted. The strong bond of brotherly friendship between the Lenfeld people of the Forest and the great Loreesi of the Eastern Desserts is swiftly unraveling, and whatever sort of friendship the Loreesi of the desert, had with the Garhiem mountain-men of the Great North, has shattered like glass. No one is safe, and no one can be trusted. For this reason our great Prince Jarius sent out a proclamation to all the cities and villages in Loreos. This decree reads as follows:
"I do not know when war will strike this great land. It may be as soon as fifteen days or as long as a hundred years from now. All I know is that the treaties that which once bound us together are now broken, and the tempers of our allies now rage against us. My one plea is that every city, town and village, stretching from the Loreesi/Lenfald border in the east to the farthest reaches of the Great Plains in the west be prepared for anything that might come against this great land. Even now the sound of war drums can be heard on the horizon, and even now we must be strengthening our borders. For the time of war is drawing close."
~Prince Jarius, Ruler of Loreos
Task:
This Loreos Local Challenge will be broken up into two parts with one (1) MOC for each part (much like GC3).
Part 1:
Every good defense structure needs carefully planning to ensure its strength against enemy forces. Once the structure has been planned materials must be gathered and work must be done to get it built.
Show your LCC character: making plans, harvesting resources or building the structure.
Part 2:
With your defenses complete and the enemy fast approaching it is time to test their strength.
Show you LCC character with the completed structure. Also show your structure being "tested" in some way, whether it be a small raid of Outlaw, a Mock War, or being battered by a sandstorm, show your structure's strength being put to the test.
Rules:
1. You must be Signed up to LCC and have a completed CIC
2. You must be a part of the Loreos Faction to enter.
3. You must complete both parts of the contest to be eligible to win.
4. There is NO baseplate (size) restrictions, but please build for quality and not just quantity.
5. Both entry MOCS MUST contain you the Loreos faction banner and/or sigil.
6. Have fun!
Scoring:
I just spoke with Mark of Falworth on scoring. 2 points will be awarded to each Loreos member per Part entered (2 points per Part x 2 Parts = 4 points for entering). There will also be a winner of each Part (Part 1 and Part 2). Each winner will recieve 6 points (6 points per Part winner x 2 Part winners = 12 points for winning).
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Since this contest runs for almost a month (March 9- April , you will have from now (March 9th) until March 23 to complete Part 1 and from March 23 until April 8th to complete Part 2.
