Here's my entry for Part 2 of LCIX.
I present to you Loreos LCIX: Part 2 "Skirmish on the Coast"Backstory:
On hearing word from a messenger that the watchtower on the coast had been attacked, Lord Tathann and Sir Bentoft quickly gathered together a small squad of troops and galloped off in the direction of the watchtower. As they crested a hill a horrific sight lay before there eyes, the watchtower that once was being built had been finished: a much-needed stronghold for the Loreos coastland, but that same watchtower was now being assaulted on all sides by Outlaws, Garhims and Lefels. Lord Tathann and Bentoft swiftly dismounted from their steeds and rushed down the hill towards the rocky coast and the watchtower that so fearfully guarded it. The battle that ensued was horrid and bloody. As the attackers grew in number, the defenders of the coast began to loose hope that they would ever be victorious. Over the din of battle Lord Tathann cried to his men, "Retreat, retreat, save yourselves!" Lord Tathann paused and turned to Sir Benjamin and spoke:
"It is over, the Loreesi coast is taken." Lord Tathann paused before continuing." What can men do against such wreck less hate...?
"Ride out with me...for Loreos." Benjamin replied.
"Yes... let this be the hour when we draw swords together!" Lord Tathann commanded.
Lord Tathann and Bentoft drew their weapons as Lord Tathann shouted:
"Now for wrath, now for ruin and the glory of Loreos!"
With a new found strength the armies of Fangroth and Loreos defeated the attackers, and drove the back; successfully liberating the coast.
As the enemies fled, Lord Tathann gave a mighty shout:
"Victory! We have victory!"
Victory had indeed come to the defenders of the coast that day, but Loreos was not yet at peace, for war was on the horizon.Link to Flickr Set (there are more photos here):http://www.flickr.com/photos/88363283@N03/sets/72157633175118583/Link to Loreos LCIX: Part 2 "Skirmish on the Coast" (main)http://www.flickr.com/photos/88363283@N03/8624909058/in/set-72157633175118583 Comments and Feedback Appreciated
