Honestly guys, i hate to bring it up but this is why I have yet to join. Trying to wade through all the banter is extremly annoying. Dont get me wrong it can be very useful, but trying to figure out plot an what page everyone is on is extremly difficult. So I really dont know how to place my character into the story. Im looking to join the outlaws because its where i fit best. But trying to figure out story has become next to impossable.

Just my 2 cents as a current outlaw in the wings,

Curt

Lil_Curt:
Well if you want the main story its best to go here which has the overview of the Global story line (Thanks to AK for putting it together :D ), but if you want some other story I don't know what your talking about. Also what do you mean by "what page we are on" because we're obviously on the last one  !

Hi Outlaws. My Second freebuild [part 1] is seen via the thread below .Enjoy ! :)

Also, I agree with Lil Curt in his comments. Until Brickster put together the Global Storyline , I also was very confused about what was happening in the wonderful world of LCC Roawia. :( The GLO. Storyl. makes it totally clear and gives you the history to date. I'd like to see this thread link added at the beginning of each Faction Thread for easy access for newcomers. Also, why not have a thread on a general [but brief] outline of Roawia [including a world map ] as well. "We" come to this sight in various ways and can be easily confused initially. Many arrive, I suggest , via the wonderful pictures of MOC's found in flykr and other sites. Then we have to try and "get the picture" and join a faction etc. etc. Making the info easy to find and understand will attract and keep more "Roawians" and thus add to the enjoyment of us all through our creative and beautiful "builds".
Hope you join Outlaws Lil Curt. We can be a bit sharpish with each other but it's a hard but [hopefully] exiting life. :)

Thanks for the link to the GSL, it will be helpful. What i mean by what page everyone is on is their character story. Its hard when you find a character you can relate with but then need to go through 5 pages of non-sencical banter to find out what happens to them next. With CCC comming I should be able to do my character intro and start up. My main reason for joining is a motavation to build.

I think these are all good points. We need a way to keep track where each person is in their personal story. The banter is good, and I love it, but we need something else.

I have some thoughts...I'll ponder them over the weekend.

Personally I like people to read my whole story, so when I post a part in the castle MOCs section (which is where most people put there story's) I put it in "William Navarre's "(My characters name)" story" so you can also read and see my past MOCs and storys  .

I think Josdu has a good way of progressing his character's story, and is something for each one of us to consider. When I first joined the LCC I remember how overwhelming it was too. Mixed with the fact we can get sidetracked really easy, makes it harder to get acclimated. Thanks guys, for your honest opinions.

Sschmidt makes a good point, and while I love the banter and discussions, I think they can be overwhelming to the new people. (Not saying I'm a veteran though.)

Catching up with LCC just by reading the faction thread is highly impossible. I joined the outlaws at page 17 and I could make me read all the pages before. It is too much and you definitely won't get the whole picture. You can't expect that possible recruits crunch through a ton of information.

A good (and maybe the only) way to have the slightest idea what is happening in Roawia is to read the global storyline summary that AK compiled.

This is a great idea and could be easily done for everyone.

Cheers

Good point about "tagging" your builds with your character's name Josdu. I'll do this for Daffyd in future builds. Smidty, when can we see a son/daughter/relative of your brave but deceased character emerging in Roawia [Outlaws ??].That would be nice. :) Feel free to join Outlaws if you like. We have pretty good adventures, little or no taxation, and get to travel the world. No valuable is too big [or small ] to be overlooked . We have relatives in all parts of Roawia [but not always acknowledged]. It's a tough life but someone's got to do it .

Greetings fellow Outlaws!

I apologize for my lack of participation lately, I assure that Ted Thug has not abandoned his fellow brigands. Things have just been busy lately and I spend less and less time in front of a computer these days (and less time building it seems). Ted has a few more brilliant ideas rolling around in his head, but is waiting to see if they can be rolled into CCC first. Glad to see the faction is still doing well, I promise to build more soon!

Ok sorry for the late reply. What I meant by "Attack" the Queen's troops, is the intent to do harm and/or draw blood. Things like throwing rocks, kidnapping, brawling, and assassinations would be a no-no. My earlier example of setting up a trap like hoisting a solider up by his feet is ok because it doesn't cause harm. The most it'll do is cause an inconvenience and strike a little fear into the soldier who is lucky enough to get strung up. Most traps would be ok. Like a pit covered by leaves that the soldiers fall into while on patrol would be ok. But a pit covered by leaves with spikes at the bottom would not be allowed. Like I said in the challenge, you could sabotage their equipment, or spy on them. Even though some of you guys don't really like the Queen, she is still the Queen, and has the same authority as the late King  4 months ago if you had attacked the King's forces you would most definitely face jail time or death.

[Copied from my post in LCC General Information and FAQ ]
Fellow Roawians . Outlaws and other guests have been discussing Roawian History and also methods of following each members builds.
The recent creation of Global Storyline thread has solved reading the greater history of Roawia, [thanks again Brickster ] . Other members builds :
Josdu has listed all his Moc's under one thread, namely : William Navarres Story. LCC MOCs . Brilliant. I'd suggest that's a great way to create a thread solely for your characters MOC's etc and keeps everything under " one thread...to rule them all" Seriously great idea. I'm now recording all my MOC's the same way. Only diff is,I'll update [via edit] the subject line with brief descrip of my latest MOC. [See below] :
Daffyd ap Owen's story. LCC MOCs .Awake to Danger,Oct27,2013
That way people can immediately see that another MOC was added and check it out. If they want to ! Thanks Josdu. Great idea laddie. :D
