I really wish I would have had time to build for this one, as it was something I really would have like. Unfortunately, I am completely booked until the 24th. If the deadline was about 2 days longer, I would have got an entry in. Sorry guys

OUTLAWS LC XII - The New Queen in Power: BOUNTY HUNTERS

Year of the Dark Queen Galainir.
Somewhere in a hidden Mercenary encampment near the city of Dreadmoor...

And so the Queens Emissary Commands, “…Hear ye! To all and every mercenary, assassin, bounty hunter and over head profiteers of Rowia. Her Majesty the Queen decrees that a reward be given for every rebel captured alive…”

“…How generous be Her Highness you say, Old man?”

“…Ye Best watch yer mouth now Outlaw Filth! That's 50 pieces of Silver for every Garhim, Lenfel, Loreesi and Rebel scum you bring to thee…”

“…Then we best begin to grind these crooked blades eh M’Lord…HAHAHA….”

“…Ale on throat for these bounty ye! Ho Ho Ho!”

Astonished from the response of his fellow sell swords, Ash just grinned in silence for he sees an open hunt, a contract to fulfill and a fortune of silver waiting.

Hi Zach. Any chance of 'stealing' a little more time for the latest LCC moc. I know I can't win but not worried about that. I'll add my entry within 24 hours and pray that the 'Spirits of the Outlaws' are listening . Would hope to receive maybe 1 1/2 points if I do ? I apologise for being a bad Outlaw but that's life and bards are often distracted:?

The captain, Drakk, and 5 of the queen’s soldiers left at a brisk pace to the scorching desert. The maps the commander had provided stated that the ruins where the loreesi were hiding was half a day's march. Carrying only enough supplies for the inevitable battle, the band made good time. Upon nearing the encampment the captain halted the march. “Drakk, take two men and scout the camp. Return to me and I will formulate an attack strategy. Dismissed!” In response, Drakk merely pointed at two soldiers and continued to the ruins.
Nearing the top of a hill, Drakk overheard the commotion of the loreesi camp. As the three climbed to the top, Drakk was able observe and eavesdrop on the unsuspecting loreesi. There were 5 soldiers and one commanding officer. One was a lookout on a perch, one was using a pickaxe, and the rest milling about the excavation. The soldier with the pickaxe began yelling with excitement to the officer to join him. “Right. Lets report back to the captain. ‘Dems easy pickins,” Said one of the soldiers. Drakk grinned. As he turned to respond to the soldier, his teeth sharpened and his face took on a more serpentine look. “We attack now. As you say: ‘easy pickins.” Without waiting for a response, he jumped out of cover and began to charge.

Drakk moved with hidden speed into the camp and began to cast a spell as he ran. Fire shot from his clawed left hand towards to the sentry perched on the ruins. The two soldiers accompanying Drakk struggled out of cover and charged the soldiers.

Before the sentry could get a shot off with his crossbow, the loresi erupted into flame. His screams echoed across the camp and mingled with the sounds of battle as the soldiers engaged their foes. The loresi with the pick dropped it and ran in the opposite direction. One fearless loresi soldier (oh how few there are!) rushed to attack Drakk with his sword. Blindingly fast, Drakk sidestepped a swing of the poorly crafted loresi sword, and replied with a strike of his own. The head of the soldier flopped to the ground with a soft thud as the body remained standing. Drakk walked slowly past the headless body, and towards the wide eyed loresi officer. Drakk pointed a clawed hand at the officer. His eyes burned as he shouted with rage, “You’re next dog!”

Drakk wanted to devour this loresi--He wanted to crush his bones in his jaws for the vile crimes his people had committed! He unleashed his power to turn into a terrible red dragon, but instead he felt his transformation halt! He remembered researching that his magic would be less potent on the mainland, but he thought this only rumor. No matter, he thought. The bite of my sword will have to take the place of my fangs. The officer managed to raise his golden sword in an attempt at defense. Taking a moment to admire the sword’s quality, Drakk knocked the golden sword from the officer’s hand and then sliced the soldier’s shield into two pieces. Defeated so utterly, the officer removed his helmet and begged for mercy. Drakk felt generous and granted his wish with a swift flick of his katana. The dragon soldiers managed to kill two soldiers after a slight struggle, finishing they foes in time to see Drakk finish the loresi captain.

“You there, queen soldier #1, burn the bodies. And you, grab that pick and start digging,” Drakk commanded. The two soldiers, after witnessing how Drakk handled his foes, followed his orders immediately.
Drakk grinned again as the soldier uncovered the rubble. A large chest and the remains of what appeared to be an acient and powerful wizard lay amidst the stone and sand. He could sense powerful magic emanating from the staff, and he could smell the metallic scent of gold from inside the chest.

As the three walked from the scene of slaughter, the sun set and covered the dunes in darkness. The desert was a void of black, save for the flames that engulfed the bodies. This beacon of light was tribute to his fallen brethren, the smell a burning flesh a promise of more to come.

Important Announcement!

Ok, since a few people who wanted to enter, didn't have time or got side tracked (Me included) I'm going to push back the deadline until the 30th. I'll allow any more entries to trickle through until then. For those Outlaws who submitted before the deadline, ( josdu, JoshWedin, DrakkVonLego, Gavin, and acrosswaves, if you entered and I missed you please tell me!) instead of giving you 3 points for entering, I'm going to give you 5, and additional 6 if you win! Also, if you already submitted an entry, I'll allow you to submit another (No extra points though. Just for fun!). For anyone who submits an entry between now and Saturday at Midnight their time, you'll get the original 3 points for entering and 5 points for a win. The challenge and previous rules still stand, except for one entry per member. Alright guys, let's get those entries in!
