The Background

Discouraged by the outlaw traps and lack of supplies, due in part to the road blocks, the Lorsee campaign went bankrupt and headed back north; morale at an all time low. With news of leaked plans and the retreat of the Commander Lazarus, the Captain Pendragon was sent summons to immediately return to home for trial. With the invaders repelled for now, the Outlaws were eager to celebrate especially at the Summit Inn; where the height of the resistance had taken place. Inside, outlaws of all sorts raised their steins in victory, clanked them together, and then took massive swigs of the Summit Inn's famous home brewed ale.

“Aye, lads,” started a Dwarf. “If it weren’t for Burlogh O'Rohal's Jungle Barricade we never would have cleared those Northerners out.”

The room mumbled in agreement.

“Rubbish,” bellowed a Troll from the corner. “Had Arlis Wolfstar not gathered those plans from that Lenfeld Traitor, the blockade in Blackhand Bay may never have been lifted.”

Again the room mumbled in general agreement.

“Don't be daft,” replied an old mage in a slow-paced tone. “Had Bruno not lead countless soldiers to burn in the righteous flames of magic, their morale may have kept them going.”

The room now seemed divided and tense.

A man took a breadth from his pipe and looked to the room. “You're all crazy, if it wasn't for that fierce path defense lead by lord of orcs you'd all be wearing red or green; that is if you were lucky enough to keep your head.”

Before the man could add anything clever to his boisterous statement a stein flew across the room, hit him square in the face, and knocked him to the ground. The man looked round and saw the stein next to his head. He stood up and spat at the ground; producing a mixture of blood and teeth. He grinned with his remaining smile, looked around the room and hollered.

The Challenge

Create up to three brawlers to participate in this local challenge. This will work similar to the Loreos Joust but with the addition of strategic skills. Each brawler has up to 6 points to distribute as they want with 5 being the max in any one skill (due to the use of dice for judging).

The skills available are Agility (Agi), Strength (Str) and Defense (Def).

Higher Agi then the opponent would let that brawler go first. Str would be used in the event of a tie, then def and finally a dice roll if both brawler's were equally matched. An Agi of 0 just means you move very sluggish and won't be making any first strikes.

Str dictates a brawler's ability to land a hit. A Str of 0 means an character cannot attack. As everyone's full of booze you won't be winning any wars of attrition.

Def is a brawler's ability to fend off an attack. A Def of 0 means any attack will defeat the brawler.

Please read to sample round to make sure you select the best strategy for your point allocation.

Sample Round

Brawler one
2 agi, 2 str and 2 def

Brawler two
0 agi 3 str and 3 def

Brawler one goes first due to his or her high agi so they'll roll to hit brawler two. As brawler one has 2 str brawler one must roll a 2 or lower to hit. Anything higher and maybe brawler one had a bit too much to drink and attacked that rather rude coat rack to the left instead. Lets say brawler one rolls a 2. Brawler two would then have to roll for defense. So Brawler two rolls a one and manages to thwart the attack with ease.

It's now Brawler two's turn. Brawler two rolls a 3 and unleashes a strong attack on Brawler one. Brawler two rolls a 5 to defend and is crushed by Brawler ones attack. Brawler one lays motionless on the ground - maybe even dead and Brawler two raises his stein for a victory toast.

Example Point Distributions

2 agi 2 str 2 def

0 agi 3 str 3 def

2 agi 3 str 1 def

3 agi 3 str 0 def

0 agi 1 str 5 def

Barkeep's Cat
4 agi 1 str 0 def

The Rules
-the deadline is July 27th
-you need to post a link to your entry in this thread
-in this contest you will get 1 point for each entry and a extra 4 for wining
-your entry can include your character in some way, but it is not required
-you are limited to a maximum of 3 brawlers.
-you cannot exceed 5 points in any particular stat and must have 6 points combined in all stats.

This challenge is hosted by lord_of_orks and co-hosted by DarkTemplar; judging will be performed by the hosts via dice.

Here is my entry into our latest local challenge! I really like how the fight is caused by people arguing over things really happening within our faction. I think it's an excellent idea to tie our local challenges together to build a cohesive story. It really makes Roawia feel more fleshed out with lots of things happening!

LCC - Outlaws - LC6 - Barfight!

Here are my character names and stats from left to right:

Stump - Wolfpack Berserker
Agi: 0 Str: 5 Def: 1

Natalia Blackwater - Pirate
Agi: 3 Str: 1 Def: 2

Muzah Ha'qar - Assassin
Agi: 2 Str: 3 Def: 1

I also wanted to take this chance to thank everyone who voted for me during the last local challenge. Thanks a lot! :D I've also posted the first part of my global challenge entry as well as an accompanying story that you guys can check out if you haven't seen them yet!
