I recently joined Lenfald in hopes of being active but things just haven't gone that way. So, after I made a large purchase of Worlpack Minifigures, I've decided to join the Outlaws. My Character Introduction will be up very very soon and I will be very active in the Faction. I am looking forward to a great time building alongside all of you!
What's up Kyle. I thought for sure that you were going to either join Lenfald or Loreos! With Mark always trying to sway new victims into joining Loreos, me and Aeridian are also always on the prowl to stop him every where he goes campaigning, in a friendly way

Anyway, happy outlawing!

Hey Ho, Y'all!

Our esteemed Overseer has tasked me with hosting Local Challenge #8. Listen up, stop killing each other for a moment.

Backstory:
According to our spies, the Loreesi and Garhims have signed a treaty that allows the Loreesi access to the Garhim trade routes. This gives us, the Outlaws of Rowania, a prime opportunity for loot and plunder!

the challenge:
Build a MOC showing an attack on a Loreesi trader who is selling his wares on the trade routes of Garheim. The trader or merchant must be dealing in at least one of the following: Spices, Coffee, Tea, whatever forsaken crops the Loreesi can grow in their desert, Horses, Ostriches, or Cloth. These are the items that are allowed under the Garhim/Loreesi treaty. Also, according to the treaty, there must be one Garhim guide along, keeping the silly Loreesi from getting lost.

Ye Olde Rules:
-The dead line is November 14.
-Only one entry per person.
-There are no size restrictions.
-Your entry must include your character, one or more Loreesi merchants, a garhim guide, and one or more of the items listed in the treaty.
-Each builder will receive 2 points for entering and the winner will receive an additional 5 points for winning.
-Judging will be done by a vote amongst the Outlaws.

Go forth and show them the color of their insides! If you have any questions feel free to ask. If I feel like answering them, I will.

Josh

EDIT: Apparently the main ghist of the treaty was that armed Loreesi guards are allowed to tag along with the merchants into Garheim. So be prepared to meet some token resistance.

Just wanted to set you straight, the treaty is based mainly on the fact, it allows merchants with the listed goods to travel with armed guards.
Still, a good and inventive LC!

Thank you, consider me set straight. We are still going to plunder the merchants though, guards or no guards. ;)

Uh, oh. I didn't even see the newest LC posted! Nor any entries! Not to say that many of us weren't interested in the LC, I just think most of us were completely consumed with the CCC! (Myself included :P ) Sorry if you felt like everyone just ignored you Josh

That's okay, it was bad timing what with the CCC starting and all.

Here is my entry in the 8th Outlaw LC!

Attack in Garheim

Winter Attack by floodllama, on Flickr

Frabjous Gruntbuggly, the Orc Hero and Champion, takes down a Loreesi cloth merchant, his guards and Garhim guide! Since Frabjous only includes soldiers in his kill tally, his official count stands at 1 Royal Knight, 3 Lenfalds, 2 Loreesi & 1 Garhim for a total of 7 kills. May his kill tally ever increase!

Hey, just a heads up, I think the Loreessi and or Lenfalds are planning another invasion of our swamp lands, because Mark just posted this in his latest update to "The Order of Areani" ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/mark-of-fa ... 189056786/ ) "They field elite cohorts for the Loreesi armies(This is in regard to the Areani), and did great service during the first swamp campaign."

So to my Outlaw bretheren, I think we should embrace one of the oldest and noblest traditions of all Outlaws, "Fight, so we can run away."

Woohoo, I guess. It's nice to get the points but I would have preferred to win against someone. :D Next time, I guess, when people aren't so wound up in the CCC.

Here's a free build for November. Also, posted as a CCC entry.

Ted Thug has ventured far into the icy northlands to do a little spear fishing. The locals warned him to stay away from the Apmaw Monster, a ferocious, slavering monster, who despite it's cute and cuddly looks, will devour you in one gulp. Ted dismissed the warnings as old wives tales and proceeded to spend a quality afternoon spear fishing.

Another free build for the month of December. Also a CCC X entry.

Ted Thug wanted to get home in a hurry and had heard that there was a shortcut through the dwarf tunnels. After stopping and asking for directions, Ted was on his way. "Just make sure you don't take a wrong turn, or you'll wind up in the goblin tunnels," they warned him. "Don't worry, you can't miss it." Unfortunately, Ted missed it.
