Now that it's spring break I think it is time I get back to building! I'm working on my entries for the LC10 right now!

I'm going to extend the deadline for LC10 until April 7th so that we are aligned with Loreos' deadline for their LC. Use your time wisely though! Hoping to see a lot of great entries!

Hi everyone!

Here's my entry for Phase 2 of the LC10. "The Scent of Cut Stone"

Earlier in the morning, Marykk had gathered with Einryk, the town’s famous tracker Neivanskaal, and Orrin, his father’s friend and captain of the Nereberg guard. Orrin had left command of the guard to his housecarl, Thorbad, and to keep Marykk’s brother Aelbern out of trouble (or from following them), had allowed him a spot on Thorbad’s work-gang. As they left town, armed and ready to visit the Icefall Barrow, Marykk and his companions passed the work-gang hard at work on the base of a defensive wall on the outskirts of Nereberg. When the Jarl’s messenger had come to town several days before, with dire warnings of imminent war, the townspeople had been largely apathetic. But, the town leaders would rather be safe than sorry, and so the wall was planned and construction started.

Hope everyone likes it! As I said in the MOC post...I totally forgot to finish the road! I was going too fast that day and scrapped the build though before looking at the photos. Oh well. Next will be a bit better!

With tensions escalating on the Loreos/Lenfald border a messenger arrives in Garheim with troubling news. "Halt! Who goes there?" barks an overly-suspicious guard. "I bring troubling news of the escalating tensions on the Loreos/Lenfald border" the messenger replied breathlessly, struggling to keep his wearied pony under control. Jaykob on the other hand was just delighted to see his Lenfel cousin.

After reading Brother Steven's great story here http://www.flickr.com/photos/76437548@N04/8573238460 I thought it would be nice to link in with it a little, hence the inclusion of the messenger falcon in my second build.

It wasn't my original intention, but I thought if would be fun to make part 2 modular with part 1. So hopefully the inclusion in the whole scene of my character and the Garheim standard is acceptable.

PHEW!!! I've been really busy this month and this is the first chance I've had to check in. I thought I only had two days to whip TWO builds together. MAN am I glad for the deadline extension. This is going to be a fun one - especially because I get to work with snow again. Deserts and jungles don't really suit me. If it's war those Southrons want, they'll get more than they bargained for.

Thanks AK for updating the scores. I have my Phase 1 build complete, I have an interesting twist planned.

Without giving it away - What do Ian Fleming, World War 2 and LC10 have in common?! You just have to wait for the answer to this one!

I will post after I compete Phase 2 which is nearing completion. I am thankful for the extension!
