I think an easy fix would be to maybe make a MOC that doesn't include your character, but the story for the scene could be in the context of your character reading a letter from home describing what's going on in the aftermath of battle or something like that. (ie, your MOC is your character's visualization of the contents of the letter)

The most important thing is to figure out how to integrate your character into the challenges, I think, so as long as he's part of the story I think that should work.

That could be interesting. I'll have a think as I may just plough on with my own thing anyway, so don't feel you have to change the rules if you'd rather keep them as they are.

It's just something to bear in mind for those of us trying to spread our wings a bit (brickbuilt of course).

What are the standards for Garheim? Is it an official one or the ones we have?

"Garheim standard" just refers to a banner using faction colors of either dark blue and blue or just dark blue by itself. This just helps to distinguish your MOC as belonging to Garheim when going through groups of MOCs built by multiple factions.

Wow - a busy day at work and I missed a lot.

AK - Thank you for covering for me. I agree with your answers and suggestions 100%. Part of the fun is figuring out to how to complete the challenge when you are in the middle of a story. Some of the mental curveballs from the other local challenges have made me take my stories in very different directions than I had originally imagined.
