Hello, fellow Lenfels!

I was just finishing up with my back story and I was wondering if I could make up a new Outpost that is between the Wandering Woods and the small mountain that has no name. I was wondering because I want my character to be sort of a jail keeper. I want him to hunt down Outlaws and others that have disobeyed the province of Lenfald Laws. He would capture them and make them pay for their crimes. I thought between the Wandering Woods and the Mountain would be a good location because it is out of the way as well as being next to a dangerous forest. This outpost, I was thinking about naming Breithnick Daingneach (judge fort) or Slighe ri na Fiadhaich(path to the wild).

Let me know what you think.

@Albatross Viking: Thanks man! And may the bricks ever come my way :D

@EB: Looks great, love what you did with :)

@FIreglade: I like your backstory a lot, a sort of bountyhunter, nice! Like I said in the map post, if you want to add something put in the comments section on the Flickr page, so future Lenfels can see where everything is located. The map is finished now, as in that I will not add any new notes, but people can add their own towns and city names if it fits in with their stories.

greetings,

Elderon

I guess that would make us neighbors... I have my main city Karemdhâron sitting right there on the edge of the Wandering Woods nearest the mountains, and a small port town up north (with no finished MOCs I'm afraid)... I know we shouldn't claim areas of the map, but if we're abouth to be neighbors maybe we could coordinate MOC- and storywise... I have regular patrols around and in the forest to hunt creatures and other unwelcome elements.

Also, please note your city location in the official map http://www.flickr.com/photos/elderon/69 ... 896577@N24

I'll move my settlement north of the Wandering woods that way our villages are separated a little bit. I'll be next to the sea instead, still a great location.

Thanks!

Hey everyone, 3 quick things:

1. Scoring has been updated.

2. (regarding scoring) So far, Mitah has been the only person to send me regular PM's regarding their score. Please think of doing so because with so many members it's REALLY hard to keep track of everyone's (free) builds.
If you'd be willing to help me out, this is what should be in the message:

- A note that you have made a MOC for Lenfald, and that you wish it to be count as a free build (for which you will receive 2 points) or as an entry for a contest (for which you receive a specified amount of points). You can submit free builds 2 times per month.

- Add a link to your MOC. Where it is posted does not matter.

- For safety, send the message to Medieval Guy (Faction Liaison) as well.

Please help me out with this guys, I'm asking you this to avoid scoring frustrations when I've been absent for a while. This should speed up the process and make everything more clear.

3. Welcome to our new member Fireglade, who joins us with the honorable Lord Wolfsong! Hail to thee, and hail Lenfald!

Here's my entry for our Introductory Contest: The Industrious land of Lenfald!

Image
LCC- Lenfald Introductory Challenge-The Industrious Land of Lenfald by Fireglade, on Flickr

Today a small party of us went to the woods on a hunt. Not long after we started we came to a small glade. At an edge of the glade we saw a large male turkey. I, being their commander was allowed the first shot. I fired an arrow and it sailed true. Casgrad, a small boy in our troop, gladly ran to fetch the fallen bird. When he reached the bird he shouted a cry of delight. We immediately ran over to him and we found that my arrow not only hit the turkey but passed through it and hit additional one behind it. Our luck continued to grow as we killed two rabbits as well before noonday. At noon we traveled back to Cagar Tuath as the sky darkened putting a dampener on our luck, and boding ill fortune.

The Cold Trail-Part 1 of 2 by Fireglade, on Flickr

I received word from the High Lord of Lenfald, of a small band of Outlaws that attacked a small flea market where merchants of Lenfald and Loreos met to barter spices, horses, lumber, and other goods. The outlaws got away with some gold and spices, luckily the horses fled before the outlaws could get a hold of them (or else my job would be a lot harder.) I immediately left Cagar Tuath with a couple of my Wolfsclaw to follow the thieving rogues. Some nights afterward, my and I men picked up the bandit’s trail which led us over the border into Garhiem province. My men continued tracking them but the snow made it harder to follow the path. Luckily, some Garhiem soldiers were investigating a possible mining cave (obviously the cave is rich for mining silver and gold ore) and one of the Garhiem saw the robbers a short time before we came. As my men and I shared the Garhim’s fire, we managed to trade a few rabbit furs for some silver and gold before continuing on our way tracing the robber’s course.

Here's my second and last free build for this month.

Image
The Cold Trail-Part 2 of 2 by Fireglade, on Flickr

After we met with the Garhims, we found the trail of the Outlaws relatively easy. We tracked them up a mountain to an Ice cave which seemed to be their lair. We surrounded the small cave and hearing voices inside we barged in with weapons drawn. It was clear from the outlaw’s expressions that we caught them unawares. Gold was laying everywhere, as well as many different wares from the three provinces. After we chained up the thieves, my men and I began to sort different items from the bandit’s loot to return it to the provinces from it was stolen from. We could not carry all the loot that was hidden in the robbers cave so most of it was left there. My men and I picked up a valuable piece that was stolen from each of the provinces as well as many things for our great Lenfald. As we reached Cagar Tuath, I sent out messengers carrying the relics to the rulers of the other provinces. Hopefully the relics will reach them.

Here's my entry for the Industrious Lands of Lenfald:

The forests of Lenfald are rich and abundant, dotted with crystal-clear streams and little ponds.
Wildlife is plentiful, including the majestic Lenfel Elk. But Bleddyn is not the only predator in this part of the forest…

The Lenfald Ships and Boats Contest!

Hear ye, Hear ye!
"High Lord Wenseclaus, in all his wisdom, has decided that in this time of great peril, but also in this time of new trade and friendship, The mighty fleet of Lenfald be build up once more! He has requested that all able dockworkers, carpenters and sailors report to the nearest ports available, and begin construction of new vessels for the Mighty Fleet!"

The Challenge!

Build a ship for the Lenfald Fleet.

Rules!

- There is no size limit, but rafts are not allowed. We're looking for a Fleet, not something that just floats.
- Entering standard or only slightly modified Lego rowboats is not encouraged. Try to come up with creative uses for them!
- You may build more than one boat, but as always: quality over quantity.
- Rule above: Please note that you can only enter once, so multiple boats must be presented in one picture series.
- No steam or magic power may provide propulsion. Oars, sails and rudders only, lads!

How to enter!

Simply post your entry in the MOC forum, then send me (Teherean) a PM with a link to your entry. You will receive a message approving/disapproving your entry either in a reply on the thread or in a PM.

Deadline and Scoring!

For this contest, you have THREE WEEKS building time from launch date.

the exact date and time: 26th of June, 2012 - 23:59 European Central Time. (Bruxelles/Amsterdam)

For this contest, you will receive:

4 points for entering.
16 points for winning.

"Judging" will be done a bit differently this time, so pay attention in the next part:

Voting!

To give Medieval Guy and me a chance at actually participating in a contest for once, this contest will be resolved by voting.

Voting Rules

- Voting will be done by sending Teherean (FO) a private message.
- You are only allowed to vote once, so give it good thought!
- You are not allowed to vote for your own entry.
- To prevent fraud, I am afraid forum members with less than 3 posts are NOT allowed to vote.
- Non-Lenfald members are NOT allowed to vote.
- Please only vote after the deadline. Any votes cast before the deadline passes will be invalid.
