Teherean, the easiest way to handle free build points would be to just award them to the first 2 entries per month, per person, and then anything after that just doesn't get points :)

Thanks, I didn't intend it as a free build, but I guess with the "Fortify the Forest" challenge coming up I won't build anything within the next week or two, so I gladly take your points :D

I think a general story line will be advanced through global challenges.

Allthough once I'm done with the map and giving the backgroundstory and history about the cities, landmarks, etc, I think it would be handy to use that as a sort of base to set your MOC's against, if you know what I mean :)

Fellow Lenfels,

As I am fairly new in this project, as on CC I will introduce me shortly.

My name is Rinse Jan, you may know me from MOCpages or from flickr (less active).
I am a dutchman and live in Holland (flevoland), I heard there where other dutchman around here?
I am still a TFOL as I am 16 years old (soon to be 17, end of april)
Currently I am working on a improved system of building and sorting my LEGO bricks and etc.
This is why I might be delayed at building stuff, or something big (not to big, because I don't have that many bricks)
I always try to choose quality above quantity.
-that was it for now-

If you have got any more questions feel free to ask!
Leg Godt!

Are you still open for suggestions for the map, cause I have a few things on my own.

I have added them to this Map:
Image

As you see I have got a few suggestions,

First of all, In my CIC my character comes from Elavia/Arragnos, the circle located on the leftbottom of the Map.
quote from my CIC
-The village were he lived with his father was called Elavia and was located into the woods of Lenfald somewhat close to the border of Lereos. But now, all that remains are ruins. The major of Elavia was no man of honour, he was in charge of most of the trades, but was also known to cheat. A couple of years ago he did bad business with a couple of Outlaw people as he had done before. But this time it went different: they came in the night with their torches and set fire to the peat located next to the village. The whole sky turned blood red. Only Kethean, his father, and three other villagers survived the attack. Because the town is now abandoned they renamed the ruins into Arragnos (which means something like 'day of ashes').

Secondly, I thought that because of we are Lenfald, and are !Forest! people we should have more towns located into the safe woods, that why I thought of the circle on the right near the top. I named it: Kansoloth but you can name it otherwise if you want, some history:
Kansoloth is a town located into the thick woods of Lenfald. It is here the the young lenfels are gatherd and trained for the battles they have to fight. The thick and dangerous woods around the town make it the ideal location and it also keeps unwanted visitors out, like enemies.
The name of Kansoloth is not given because of it's important role of training but for it's huge birdtower that fils up the centre of the town. Kansoloth means something like bird/messenger in elvisch. All of the mesenges are send by these birds, from and to the tower. It holds all of the records from places where troops are gatherd and does all of the administration of the faction Lenfald, this is why this 'town' is so important.
-I was also thinking of adding a giant library to the town, but then I thought I should be in our capital, what do you think?

Furthermore, I thought an other town to be located by the thirht circle, it's a place of peace and quiteness. The economy of the town runes from travellers and merchant that come to rest here. It is located at the river and at one of the most inportant trade lines in Lenfald, form the capital to Strongborough and back. No name yet...

And last but not least I thought that with all the isles, the left side was a little bit overdone, so I suggest to remove the village or make it less important of some sort.

Thank you for your time, I you have got any suggestions... I'll be around!

BTW sorry for my bad english, I hope you all understand what I'm trying to say.

Hmmm, you're right, I have read your story before but didn't realised that I acctually laid there...
I still think having more forest cities is a good idea. So what if we dropped Kansoloth a little bit so it's oposite to the capital?

-Anymore suggestions anyone?

We don't want our map too detailed because that may restrict creativity. For example, both of you came up with cities for your CIC. What would you think if we said you couldn't, beause there was already a city there?

I completly understand. I sort of destroyed my CIC city because of that reason, It doesn't have to be there.
Secundly I thought we needed more real Lenfald kind of cities so I suggested some...

We all have got our own opinions I think we should at least try to communicate to get them heard, god knows it's a good one?
We might completely miss something with could be really important.

Regarding the map, I'm quite confused as to where we actually got one? The one in AK's FlickR stream is pretty much without any markings and names at all. I think we should (if we haven't got one already) get a map up, added to the main post, and get on with it.

Oh btw, can we get a pointcounter or something up ? Not so much to compete amongst eachother, but just so I know where I'm standing.

Thanks for the link, Petturik. I'd like to see a scoreboard up as well, and as far as I know, it's something Teherean is working on.

Heey guys,

I was reading through the outlaw faction thread and I read they had their own flickr group.
Maybe it is a good idea to have a flickr or/and a MOCpages group so everyone can keep track of builds, entries etc.
It's a great oputiunity to unite us somewhat more, when we post them into private groups there, everyone can also easily click on their names to get to their accounts. And there are also other possebileties as well. Still this should remain the main group, becuase not everyone could have a MOCpages or/and a MOCpages account. (although it would be weird if you wouldn't have at least one of them, they are both free...)

So any suggestions?
