What can be done to avoid everyone just voting for their factions finalist?

If this should not just be lame, everyone should vote for the build they think is the best!

After looking into my crystal ball I predict Lenfald will win - every faction will vote for their own, and Lenfald has the most (active) members... many other people simply don't care or don't look in the Stories Forum...

Maybe after this contest the rules for global challenges should be revised

I totally agree on this part, we could take a look on GoH how the voting is done there and get a bit of hints how it could be done better :P . But lets do that after GC1 voting :D

This should have been posted in the MOCs forum, IMO. That way, more people will see it and participate in the voting. Also, it would be nice to have a thumbnail of each MOC in the post so that people can be reminded of what they're voting for.

I respectfully disagree with that, Mitah. I think that some LCC members will vote simply on which they think is the best entry. And I also believe that other CC members will take an interest in our poll, and vote for the entry they think is best.

The purpose of this voting process is to decide which entry is the best, not to see who has the most members, And I think it will turn out well.

this is why we want everyone to vote, people who aren't in the LCC will not vote for a particular faction.

I thought about posting it there, but here seamed more appropriate. if some staff member would see fit to move it it would be appreciated :)
I'll add the images now :)

Just move it to the MOC's forum. If admins want to remove it, no problem. We'll only see if we try. ;)

On the voting part: I have to disagree with Mitah as well, But it'd only really work if more people outside of LCC voted.

I disagree too with mitah on the same faction voting on own thing but not on the thing that the rules for voting should be revised to the next time. But will see that after this, this was the first time and everything can`t go perfectly can it :D. Next time we´ll be wiser, it´s always some testing to get it to run smoothly 8)

Good luck to all! Each entry represents their faction well!

I concur with Mark regarding the treatment of each faction's entry. I have enough respect for the voting code of honor to know that a lot of you will vote based on which entry you think is best. But otherwise, best of luck to all! :)

There are somewhere around 70-80+ people signed up for the LCC. With only 19 votes cast, anything is possible. Just vote for the one you like best, and may the best MOC win!

All four of these are excellent builds. In the end, I whittled it down to Brother Steven's and Elderon's builds. I thought that though both were majestic, and Elderon had many clever details, Brother Steven was better able to convey the spirit of the challenge. All of Brother Steven's details worked together, from the roaring fire to the stone walls to the chandelier, to depict a great Garheim feast. Congratulations to all the LCC members. You started the First Global Challenge with a bang!
