Can we include the character of the person whose fortification we are attacking, in our entry? If we follow normal rules, then we must ask, but that would surely give away the location of our attack. But also if we do, then it would mess up their story lines.

EDIT: As for including other LCC'ers, you can do that, with permission. Keep in mind that most of the active participants will be off defending/attacking other outposts, so they might not be able to be in two places at once. That said, an unofficial cameo probably would be fun (with permission) ;)

Attention everyone! New developments to the political climate of Roawia should be taken note of!

Word spread quickly after the King's assassination. Without the presence of a readily-apparant heir to the throne, the entire kingdom of Roawia has been speculating on which faction's leader will be the first to make an outright grab for power. For now, the queen is presiding over the kingdom, but she had never been a key figure during the reign of the King, and her position is a figurehead one, at best.
Loreos, being highly suspected of ordering the assassination, are overwhelmingly thought of as being the ones most likely to make a claim to the throne, as their powerful patriarch, Prince Lorean, has openly made threats of war after a disasterous campaign against the inhabitants of the Isle of Lost Souls. Lenfald and Garheim seem to be somewhat united in their disdain for the hot-headed desert warlord, and rumors of a loose alliance are on the lips of many citizens of the central and northern realms.

More interesting, however, are the whisperings of a new participant in global politics. A forgotten power, rising like a specter from the shadows of the the East. A potential long-lost decendant of King Alphundus of yesteryear, a figure scorned in the lore of Roawia, but potentially the true heir to the throne. Her name is not spoken; she is simply referred to as "the Witch of the East". A direct decendant of Princess Rosethorn, who was the eldest daughter of Alphundus and sister to Garmen, Lenard, and Lorean, the brothers for which the provinces are named to this day. Rosethorn had her rightful claim to power taken away when she was blamed for the death of the old king when she was banished to the Magic Isles, and her line of decendants have brooded in their resentment for all these years, waiting for a chance to reclaim their former glory. That time seems like today.

Rumors of an army, infused with the powers of magic (for Rosethorn married a powerful druid after her banishment), are being brought back from soldiers who campained against the outlaws, and the hushed drunken conversations of unscrupulous characters in corners of alehouses. Will the passing of teh King and subsequent new conflict between the factions give the Witch the chance she needs to retake control of the land?

Further complicating the situation is that the Prince of Loreos has recently made known his intention to support a previously unknown candidate for the High lordship of Lenfald.
Young Chartres Wenseclaus claims to be the son of the late High Lord Godfrey Wenseclaus II and the true heir to all of Lenfald. And he intends to make good his claim with the help of Loreos. Whether this turn of events is simply a connivance of the Desert Prince or a genuine heir apparent, remains to be seen.

Also, the 4th place prize has been determined. See second post for details.

(In the event that the GC4 winner would prefer a "purist" prize, he will be allowed to choose the 4th place prize instead of the custom accessories that are being offered. That said, I highly recommend that you give 3rd party accessories a try. You might be surprised at how much you like them!)

An interesting twist! Nice to see the Outlaws getting a bit more focus. For a while I've felt the tasks have felt a little bit in the favour of Loreos/Lenfald/Garheim :tasty:

Yep. We wanted to give the people who are outlaws a chance to participate in a large scale, more organized conflict with proper sieges, large scale battles, etc. For those who prefer to keep their characters more independent, they carry on as they have been. :)
