Prison cell, King's Isle...
After weeks spent chained to a cold stone wall in a dark, damp prison cell, Cedric Archer had finally hatched a plan of escape. The Evil Queen's minions had captured Cedric along with the other guests and, after confiscating all of his belongings and giving him a ragged shirt and a pair of trousers, thrown him in a tower cell. After a failed attempt to overpower his gaoler and obtain the keys, the man had chained Cedric to the wall. At first, he had given up hope, only being able to walk a couple paces to relieve himself in a wooden bucket in the corner and barely being able to reach the ledge of the barred window to gaze out at the sea beyond the castle. But it was during his time spent staring through the bars that a plan had come to him.

He had found that the constant salt spray of the sea had eaten away at the metal bars over the years and he'd been able to snap off a jagged piece, though that was all he could get to budge. Using the piece of metal as a lockpick, Cedric had been able to break free of the manacles that held his wrists and was even able to dig the metal pin that held the chain to the wall loose. He then looped the chain between the bars, gave a hard yank, and they gave way.

Cedric waited until cover of darkness - his gaoler having already come earlier that day to gloat and deliver a bowl of cold gruel - then he bent a long piece of the metal bars through the chain and made a grappling hook of sorts. He was barely able to squeeze out of the window due to the weeks of malnourishment and he leaned far out and threw the makeshift grappling hook up between the battlements where it stuck fast. As quietly as he could, Cedric climbed the chain to the walkway up top. He then knocked out the patrolling guard, donned his armor and took his torch and crossbow, and left the unconscious man tied up in the chain and gagged with a bit of cloth and stuffed him in a corner of the guardhouse. Sure enough, Cedric's sword, Oronai, was in the guardhouse along with all of the other guests' weapons and armor that had been confiscated before and after the feast. Now, sword in hand, disguised as one of the Queen's minions, Cedric walked casually through the halls of the castle, out the main gates, and down to the harbor where, luckily, a small ship was moored. Cedric climbed aboard, raised the anchor, cut the towlines, and set sail for the mainland.

He had finally escaped.

A better view of the prison cell.

Lovely job, grew that you finally escaped! Shouldn't this be in the castle mocs forum?

I have seen it done both ways. Best to consult AK_Brickster on the matter, our friend faction LCC Overseer
Nice to see you get out, that prison is not a fun place to be :?
